A method to get things without chasing: do the slow drifting motion over the target, then dive and spam. You can catch the hardest things much easier this way. If you do the regular speed over the target it will speed up to avoid you. Sneaking very slowly by just pushing the left joy stick in the direction you need works.

I played Animal Crossing Wild World back in 2005 when I was young. I think one of the things I find annoying is when you are going around your town doing things, every 5 or 10 minutes a villager would come running towards you to get your attention. Thankfully they toned that down over the years. I just want to fish, catch bugs, and run around my town in peace for a while.

i haven't played acnh in months, like actually sat down to play it but yeah..................... i absolutely experienced all of this during the first year to two years after i got the game..................... other painful moments include: going to NMT islands and not seeing my dreamy, lack of NMs, t e r r a f o r m i n g, pathing, _lack of storage,_ rarely enough bells to buy anything I really want, when a villager moves out and you're trying to find your dreamy but by the second day of searching, the empty plot of land is filled with some goober you don't want, not having enough mats to craft the cool things, no nso, not being able to get the cool seasonal DIYs, esp if the time period for that season is short (im looking at you sakura season), when you've played the game for years, put in so many hours only to want to restart except you KNOW that you can't bc if you do, you risk losing each and every single last one of your items, DIYs, and basic progress in the game, including your villagers, upgrades, terraforming etc. and you can't do anything about it bc you're BROKE. most of these are personal but yeh

As much as I love Animal Crossing nothing will stop me from putting this game down and throwing it away from my personality. But there are 3 things I despised in this game. 1. Repetitive DIY recipes. 2. Couldn’t buy more than 1 bell vouchers/Dodo Tickets. However the problem could be slightly solved with a controller with an automatic turbo function. 3. Really long load times when someone enters specifically in treasure islands. It goes from loading, saving, then we watch someone’s flight information, loading again, then we watch the player enter the gates, loading and saving again, then finally back to this game. Although the flight information was a nice touch, all of that was a waste of time.

I haven't played in a little over 2 years until today, and for the last few hours, I played those 2 years ago was another 7 month gap. I was 13y/o when the game was released, and I started playing on the day it came out. I'm 17y/o now. You have no, no fucking clue how much of a disaster my island is. Furniture everywhere, me attempting to remodel my island like three times and stopping for whatever reason, my storage filled to the brim, a fence going around a villager's entire house, a waterfall that goes up for like a few meters, then back down adjacently, a narrow path in a spot that count honestly be just a river, 75% island is unaccessible unless you have a vaulting pole, and a sloped ramp leaving to a single spruce tree surrounded on 8 sides with fencing. All that, even with cockroaches in all of my rooms, and I still got a score of 87k, S, from Happy Home Academy. That, and an interest of 9,999 bells. The music is fucking amazing though. And I'm still pissed you can't change your character's name, other than hoping to God your villagers ask if you want a cool nickname or something.
