The PETA one is not a real controversy. They made a ragebait video to get people talking about animal rights in a way that would provoke everyone to complain about PETA instead, because PETA needs PR training. But if you opened up their article they posted with the video, they actually say they love Animal Crossing for teaching kids to show empathy and kindness towards animals and to treat them with the same rights as they afford themselves. Something like that. They did this same ragebait style thing with Pokemon too and the fact that the only thing anyone can remember is that "PETA got mad about a video game" is just proof that PETA sucks at marketing. But yeah, PETA was never actually against the game or anything.

I've never been scammed in ACNH, but I think I came up with a way to solve the problem of getting scammed... kinda. When the message saying it's time to go home appears, hold the HOME button and go into sleep mode, and then your switch will lose the connection and revert to the last time the game saved. If it didn't autosave after you gave away your Nook Mile Tickets or whatever it cost, you will get your NMTs/whatever it costed back, but you won't get the villager or other item that you exchanged your NMTs/other items for.

I think the issue with the Ankha stuff is less that she's a cat & more that the animator credited to it is like. notably a creep from what i understand. like nsfw of underage characters with Ankha she passes the harkness test (adult, able to verbally communicate clear consent, willing) but the animator and the POSTING PORN TO TIKTOK FOR CHILDREN TO SEE is where the main issue lies imo. for "its a cat", we can maybe rebuild, for the, again POSTING IT FOR KIDS TO SEE it's the worst one

I just want to state that its not illegal or wrong to make rule 34. While it may be a little strange, there is nothing inherently wrong with creating things like that as long as the character(s) depicted are not underaged, look underage, b3astiality, etc. And for those saying Ankha is a cat, she is an anthropomorphic cat, meaning she has features like walking and talking that seperate her from a real life animal. I ended up finding them at my local targets, even though it was like you said, but when I talk to the person at the store, they just said they had a whole bunch left over even though it was literally the minute they opened up also I’ve had some scammers before with villagers and whenever I saw the message that it’s time to go home I always crashed the Wi-Fi on purpose so that way they wouldn’t get what I had paid for that villager like for example I went to get Ankha and I paid 100 nook Miles tickets which I didn’t really care at the time soon as I dropped everything they tried to kick me out and I immediately canceled and I got all my tickets back then they messaged me why I didn’t get the villager, but then I told him you were trying to scam me so I knew the minute that happened

Another issue with the target Amiibo cards is that a lot of employees put them on the shelf anyways and didn’t uphold the limit. So people showing up to the stores and resellers just ended up selling them out and the people who thought they successfully got them for pickup earlier that morning were then being told it was canceled because the pickup employees went to grab their orders and since they were on the shelf and sold, they ended up not being there for the pickup orders. Which is absolute bullshit considering the fact they weren’t even meant to be in store and the pickup people bought them first.

Okay I got a question this is my first time playing ac and my friend said that the first island you make or like when you start of new it’s a turtorial until you get 3 stars is that true I’ve been playing the turtorial for the longest and didn’t know that?

I wouldn't neccessarily call that entire phase of the game "a tutorial," but I would say the game doesn't really become the more standard Animal Crossing experience until you get K.K. Slider to perform for the first time.

@@beeshrooms thank you I’m kinda on the part where I’m trying to get 3 stars I have 2 and it’s frustrating going to Isabelle back and forth to see if I got the 3 stars lol😭
