Superb! Thanks Mark! I sure do remember hearing this for the first time as youngster and being floored. Then of course the next track being Hideaway had me sold on this great record. Paul

Thanks Paul. This record I'm sure you will agree must be one of the most influential of all time for guitarists. Cheers, Mark

It's interesting to listen to how Greeny played this once he took over for Clapton in Mayall's band... there's a great version on Vol.1 of the two live Mayall/Green/McVie/Fleetwood CDs.

Hi Mark! It's been about six months or so since I've been obsessively playing along to every one of your Cream/bluesbreakers demos and analysing every little nuance in your technique. Your tone and vibrato must've taken some serious hours! I honestly can't emphasise how much I've taken out of these videos. After dissecting every one of Clapton's pieces on your channel and playing by ear to the bluesbreakers records, my appreciation for his work has risen tenfold. Have my end of year finals coming up in the next couple of weeks so I know what I'll be doing with every waking second afterwards! Thanks again Mark

Hey Will! Thanks so much for your comment. It's great to hear that you find the videos useful. The Clapton pieces are indeed very instructive, and for as long as I can remember, the 'Beano' album has been considered the 'bible' of blues-rock guitar. Very best of luck for your end-of-year finals! Cheers, Mark

Sorry if this was disclosed before, but what gauge strings do you do your sweet bends/vibrato with? 8’s are a treat for me.

Hi, for as long as I can remember I have used the Ernie Ball 9 pink set. I used to swap the 9 out for a 10 on the top E, but no longer do that. So they run 9, 11, 16, 24, 32, 42. Cheers, Mark

@@mybluesguitar thanks! I did order a few sets of the pink super slinky’s the other day. The 8s are fun, but sometimes get hung up on the pick when playing heavier riffs, since they are so flexible

Good move! Do you play an acoustic guitar at all, as well as your electric? It's well worth doing so, as it strengthens the hands and fingers. Cheers, Mark

@@mybluesguitar I’ve got a couple Taylor’s stashed under my bed. I have tens on some guitars and was always frustrated when I’d watch those effortless extra bends as in the whole lotta love solo. We’ll see how the 9s behave on an old Japanese Les Paul jr. double cut.

Thanks for your comment, Diego. It's one of the echo 'pedals' in Garageband. For some reason I can't see the 'amp' at the moment, so I can't give you any more details. But I record all the videos in Garageband. Cheers, Mark

Hi Mark, This is the solo I asked you to show awhile back. Part 7 ( where I was stuck) is difficult for me to see....especially Pt. 2 ! Everything else....cracking good! Do you plan to show the outro solo too? Bob
@mybluesguitar3 жыл бұрын
Hi Bob, Thanks for commenting. There is a great lick at the outro so yes I'll be getting to that. Part 7 is in the main 'A' position at the top of the neck. If you use the little 'gear' wheel at the bottom right of the video you will be able to slow it down further, which might make it easier to see. This is it... Bend the B string at the 20th fret one tone. Play the 17th fret on the E string (which is the same note as above). Then the 20th on the B and then the 17th on the B. Then bend the 19th at the G one tone. Then play the 19th, then 17th and 19th again on the G. Then the 17th on the B. Then the 17th on the G and bend it slightly sharp to finish.

@@mybluesguitar Thanks Mark. I could not see that beneath the scrolling as it slightly blurs the image under...ie..your fingers and the fretboatd !
