Wow! I just found your two excellent 'I'm So Glad' videos; haven't listened to your other videos yet. Your phrasing, bends, and vibrato are on target; including the 'minor third' (three fret) bends. Clapton's solo is arguably his best studio solo, and maybe the most eloquent 32-bar instrumental statement of the rock era. He effortlessly blended the mixolydian mode (major 3rd) and blues scale (minor 3rd) in a linear, lyrical fashion; presumably on just the G string. There are moments like this on the 'Fresh Cream' album that go beyond Beano.

I was sad to hear of Peter Haycock untimely passing. I was fortunate to see him live several times. His playing was jaw dropping. You have captured this piece very accurately. Beautiful work. I used to do this tune back in the early 80's Its a definite challenge to play it correctly. There is one solo of his I'm trying to capture. Its in the song Flight the version which was performed at the NY Academy of music (FM Live Album) the solo starts at 2:55 and he plays for only about 30 seconds. But its pure gold to my ear. Any chance you may have figured this one out? It would be a great solo to learn.

I like that you always do it so carefully and methodically. Without showing off, but in the service of learning music. I'm a huge fan of Jimmy and not only enjoy playing his music, but also drawing and painting him. And finally: most people choose either Cream and Clapton or Page and Led Zeppelin. I'm not one of them and I see you are neither. Music unites, not divides. ;-)

Is there a practical reason the Explorer has two strap buttons on the back? I sold my SG because back buttons tend to make guitars fall away from my 'eyeline' to the fretboard making it impossible to play.
