I did like arc v, until the xyz arc, and ending. They just killed the show for me. Like the fusion soldiers all backstab academia and give up their beliefs due to Yuya entertaining them once. Also Yuya's constant attitude to make the fusion soldiers smile, during the middle of a war where they were committing genocide on the xyz people, felt really out of place. Not to mention how the ending handled Yuri's "redemption" like he was just all of a sudden not evil, and none of the Yu boys except for Yuya got to be reborn, that was a let down.

@@eclair6910 agree on that, yes there were a lot of really awkward moments like that, they tried to make it more comfortable for kids, and they just gone too far, for me worst was the end of show, where he was supposed to make Riley smile and then all of a sudden Z-Arc's evil spirit will dissapear. It could have been a lot better and had much bigger potential, but tbh I enyojed it like this, for me it had interesting duels, I like idea of putting all summoning metods and not just favouring one that just came up, it had a good characters, and some interesting new monsters and decks. It could have been a lot better, potential was big and they didn't use not even close to all of it, but for me it was mostly fine. But hey, everybody has their opinion :)

Duel monsters is my all time favorite, because it was the first anime that I watched as a six year old little kid and I loved it. Today I'm 19 and I still watch the anime and play the card game. Here’s my yugi oh theory (got a lot to do with arc v): yugi oh arc v came first but the very start when all dimensions where one so yuya didn’t exist or anything it was only yugi then once he finished all his adventures and stuff the dimensions still weren’t split. Duel academy wasn’t evil and Jayden was gonna attend it and he did. The reason the original series and gx came first is because yuya,Yuma and yusei didn’t know yugi where in gx yugi was like a celebrity or something . Then when Jayden finished all his adventures zarc was defeated and all the dimensions where split (standard,fusion,synchro and xyz) . Then Yuma came and he was around in heartland city before duel academy invaded then when duel academy came god knows what happened to him . He was probably in the resistance . Then yuya done all his crappy entertaining until he traveled to the other dimensions to stop the professor from making the united dimension again. Yuya first traveled to synchro before yugi oh 5ds . Before crow was jacks good friend and before they met yusei . Peeper Poppers It’s an interesting theory, however I have to say that it’s already been confirmed that Arc-V is basically an alternate universe of 5D’s and Zexal is just another timeline - probably another universe as well. It would make sense considering Zero Reverse (that made Yusei and Jack and Crow grow up together as orphans in the original timeline) from 5D’s never happened in Arc-V; Yusei living with his alive!parents in the Tops district and possibly following in their footsteps. Plus, Yusei’s Japanese V/A once stated that Yusei was busy dating Aki/Akiza which makes sense of why he didn’t make a cameo in there. 5D’s, though, is confirmed to be a part of the DM-GX timeline - thank BBT for that - I can understand how Yusei knows about Yugi in BBT - since he’s famous - and not Judai/Jaden. My guess is that Judai/Jaden wanted to lay low or something. Your theory sounds interesting, but most of it’s already been said of which was the original and alternate universe.

Explain how in the original duel monsters the only extra deck used is fusion and Zarc used all of them. Also Yugi appeared in YGO Zexal. Dark magician was a legendary monster in it.
