Steelers Fan here: As always, fantastic review. Hats off to the Ravens. Their preparation was outstanding and it showed. Gotta stand up for PQ#6. Apparently he was one of several Steelers players suffering from some illness who still played anyways (CH#97 was another one; they even scratched PS#91 for some unknown reason). The lack of any urgency in adjusting to the option have Steelers fans calling for the DC's head on a platter.

You’ve stepped up these videos as our squad has stepped up our play. The analysis on our Trips Closed A and our prior usage of a Read Option out of this formation with different personnels and pre-motion looks is so damn cool. It makes plays similar to that so hard to read pre-snap. Hope we keep this rolling for another week.

It's never been about if Ravens good enough. It's always been about if they will shoot themselves in the foot with bad game plans (like passing 90% of the time in bad weather and muddy field) or unnecessary roughness calls to extend drives.

I do not have extensive knowledge of X's and O's, but my eyes tell me we need to use Henry on more outside runs (on extended hand offs). It just seems like he breaks a big one every time!

Coach, strong work! Thanks! Other fans and myself have been on cloud 9 following the last two Ravens performances. Saturday was incredible. Moving forward, two things. First-The Bills played lights out Sunday! Second- The Bills are undefeated at home this year. Yes, we beat them soundly earlier this year. However the Bills have us in their stadium, They are firing on all cylinders, and they have those X factors: Confidence and Momentum. All the best to both organizations! Hoping for a good game w/no injuries. BTW, kudos to the officials in all the games over the weekend. Good job all around imo.

Regarding Queen, I'm kind of reminded of a comment Eric Weddle had after the beat down of the Rams in 2019, where he said, they had no idea who had the ball. It looks to me like Queen was just unsure where the ball was going most of the time.

I was dissapointed with the offensive playcalling to begin the second half - I feel like Monken started milking the clock way too early with predictive, conservative running plays while the game still wasn't "closed". Is that just me?
@mitchellroze34320 сағат бұрын
@@sumsar0125 I think it was a concerted effort to put the game away. We saw explosive plays from the Steelers but up 3 tds. It makes more sense to me to sacrifice some score probability for more time off the clock and lower turnover probability. I didn't have any fear that the offense could "switch it on" if the game got within one score.
@sumsar012514 сағат бұрын
@@mitchellroze343 Guess it's just me then - it was a little too close for comfort for me when the defense started breaking down in coverage which offered up the two easy scores to Pitt. Hope they clean it up for Buffalo, otherwise we're in for a crazy ride.

One of the least talked about features often seen in the 1st round of playoffs is mental fatigue that quickly manifests in to physical exhaustion. Fatigue doesn’t come with notice and no one can predict when it hits a player or clutch of players. It really only takes 1 player dealing with mental fatigue to undermine team performance. I don’t know how one can coach through it , it can’t be adjusted to compensate for unless you just start pulling guys out, maybe that’s the only option for a coach. I saw collective fatigue signs in Pittsburgh’s defense 4 weeks ago and that it wasn’t identified and a rest scheme designed to make it through the season, it’s going to punch a team in the gut in postseason. This is where the coaching has to be balancing its football prowess with emotional intellect to manage this unquantifiable eventuation. Pushing through it or demanding a player simply play harder is not a strategy, it’s ignoring a problem that gets teams beat. To me, the most obvious teams in fatigue syndrome mode from the start was the Steelers and the Chargers. Mental fatigue = mental mistakes that ultimately invite physical exhaustion leading to pandemic collapse. Steelers loss in these terms and considering the already overwhelming lethality of their opponent is almost understandable, whereas this fatigue phenomenon is clearly on display where the Chargers are over run by a nearly incompetent team who were showing signs of fatigue early on but quality coaching mitigates the potential game crisis to manage a win via adjustments. Next round is the first week of teams unilaterally up for the endurance and mental/physical conditioning requirements of postseason violence and the intellectual requirements to succeed. Thanks for the video Coach, best wishes to your team ✌️

Early in the game, Queen got up slowly and looked hurt. If that's the case though, the coaches need to step in and get him out of there. All he really did was occupy a blocker for most of the game.

PQ was never known to be a big hitter. PQ athletic quickness is his specialty. PQ talent is perfect having monster play mates he can buzz around the field dragging dragging running backs to the ground . PQ is not an enforcer. He wanted no 1 on 1 with King H. It look like he did his best to avoid true solo aggression. I felt PQ didn’t want help cover his teammates mistakes, excuse not to play reckless to cover his fear… i maybe wrong, that is what saw watching the game.
