I love the way the teaser transitions into the opening credits and music. This is by far my favorite of the Waltons Opening credits.

Starting with the middle of the fourth season of the Waltons in December 1975,the Thursday Night lineup on CBS consists of The Waltons at 8pm,Hawaii Five-O at 9pm and Barnaby Jones at 10pm. Both Hawaii Five-O and Barnaby Jones were moved from their Friday Night schedule to the Thursday Night schedule and remained in their same timeslots for the next 4 1/2 years. That’s Richard Thomas,Jack Lord and Buddy Ebsen.

@@kachoo2135 I agree the second John Boy wasn’t as good the first. Richard Thomas had John Boy down pat. He lasted five seasons from 1972-1977.
