This is a very moving speech by Governor Allan Bird. The illustration of Bougainville issue is testament of the people's feeling of being left out and denied of what they are entitled to. Either in government or opposition, all MPs are entitled to their DSIP and PSIP Funds for development projects in their electorates. Why would the Government use the distribution of funds to punish those MPs in the Opposition? When Bougainville is granted Independence, other provinces or regions might follow suit using Bougainville's case as a precedent. Let's treat each other fairly, MPs.

Just listen to this and that minister responsible for certain ministries when queried on concerning matters they replied monotonously, "I will bring this matter to the attention of the Prime Minister... then come back to you with a response...blah, blah, blah". What the heck are you being appointed a minister for then!??
