I’m pretty new to Allan’s music. I don’t even pretend to understand it. I just latch onto the bass and hold on for dear life.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I don’t understand it, but I love it. My relative pitch is in need of much improvement. Subbed!

@@Mike-rw2nh just listen to the drums a lot and you’ll notice that it’s impossible to keep up with. such a good variety in time signatures… especially in the song ‘metal fatigue’ thanks for subbing!

Utterly superb!! My favourite player of all time. He plays his own brand of modal jazz, incredible technique, legato style, very few notes picked, hammered on or pulled off instead.. Saw his with trio including Gary Husband in Bracknell Cellar Bar many times. He passed away in America where he eventually lived a few years ago. Genius.

his guitar licks on ‘road games’ song is amazing example of his pull off tapping. best player of all time

When I saw him after Road Games was released I was surprised he had Gary Husband on drums. I thought it was going to be Chad Wackerman

@Andy Butler amazing work, time signatures and chord stretches are the key with allan’s music. the song “metal fatigue” is an amazing song, unreal how easy he can play those chords.
