This was a great vlog! So happy Dejan is finally on camera more. What a loving surprise by your mom. I think this should be a vlog to keep in a separate computer folder that captures a moment in time of your life. Let me explain. Last days of being 29, pre marriage, the surprise party, your thoughts on two movies about such polar opposite topisc, health detail and daily life with workouts and breakfast. I feel when your kids would ask, mom what was your life like in 2023 when you were 29, this would be an excellent look back.

Love the variety in this vlog 😂 we really got everything here! Also, the front seam seeming to pull up more is probably because of your booty gains! Means the leggings are tighter on the back and pull up in the front, which they ofc didn’t do before!

okay very late to adding a comment here but ... allana so much of what you said in this vlog totally reflects my thoughts. first; the recall thing; i feel like i am always so slow to react, or need a prompt (image or someone else speaking about a topic) for me to be able to remember that i actually know anything about it, and i had never even been able to verbalise it before i heard you speak about it then when you spoke about barbenheimer, i absolutely LOVED oppenheimer, was totally immersed in it and couldn't say enough good things, but i saw barbie just before, and just as you said, it just didn't speak to my soul the way it seemed to have with so many other people. i am very glad i am not the only one who didn't totally understand the hype of it/particularly feel the deeper meaning

Okay Lan, I am so curious what your stretching routine is? I’ve been working out consistently for the first time in a while, but this time I’ve added in long periods of stretching and I have had almost zero pain compared to previous experiences. I am 36 years old now and that was not what I was expecting, so I’m just curious if you’re stretching at all.

Okay; I have some thoughts! I’ve seen both Barbie and Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer was great, it was deep and unsettling and the reality of the danger that comes with governments using a persons genius to literally blow up the world, terrifying. Also….why didn’t it ever register previously that Einstein was alive during this time? Huh?!! 🤯 Barbie was, everything. The man who was watching with my group left the movie because he was so offended by how men were portrayed. As a single, 43 year old who will never have children (I’m like a dinosaur in terms of child having years…), and yet I am successful, an independent home owner, and I don’t believe I’ll be single forever, but things have not happened in the time I thought they would. That same man, who’s known me for over 20 years, asked me ‘don’t you feel like you are missing out not having kids?’. The message of Barbie is deeply necessary in a world that women are ‘missing something’ when not attached to a man, still. Also, the soundtrack to Oppenheimer playing equally as loud as the voices speaking (when not always impactful or necessary to the plot) was super distracting and made hearing the conversations almost impossible. (Hearing the radiation Geiger sounds when they were building the bomb was brilliant!!!!) so yea, both incredible movies to me, Barbie was just something extra.

Hey Allana!! Not sure if your current chiropractor specializes in atlas adjustment, but I would look into that for your hip issues! I had terrible back/shoulder pain from standing all day and went to a lot of different chiropractors but never found much relief. A friend directed me to one who doesn't do the "cracking of the back" but instead, is able to tell by the feet/body exactly what needs adjustment and then uses a tool to move each individual vertebrae. But it all started with the atlas, which I think takes a special machine to adjust. It was CRAZY the difference. After about a month, the back pain ceased.

Allana, I too was told my pelvis is shifted to a way that can’t be cracked and basically my right leg is 1 millimeter shorter than my left and I was also given the little insole thing to help elevate that side. I used to be a huge chiropractor/massage frequenter, but it never helped for longer than the immediate time after. The only thing that has worked and continues to work months after is ACUPUNCTURE!!! Omg I swear by it, it was so effective that when he asked me at our follow-up how I was feeling I told him fine because I had completely forgotten about the pain I had been dealing with for the last decade! Then at our next follow-up I remembered what he had done to help that area and I almost cried lol. 😅anyway, it’s life changing and you should give it a go. The acupuncturist I saw was in Seattle, so if you have no luck in Vancouver, I’d be happy to share his info with you!

For pain, look at the soles of your shoes and see if they are more worn in spots. Then look up PT exercises for this. Ex: I sprained an ankle and thought I was good after PT for it. But then I noticed pin in my hips and back and realized my shoes were worn on the outside edges. Found PT exercises to strengthen the inward roll so I’m not rolling outwards all the time.

Lan, you said you wondered what it felt like to have the recall, honestly it's tiring (I think it's one of those "the grass isn't always greener!") I have what my family has dubbed a busy brain, I think of too much too fast, it makes it difficult for some to hold "normal" conversations with me. And the recall doesn't stop even if there isnt a specific reason to remember things. It's ongoing all the time. It also makes it incredibly hard to relax and sleep. I am thankful for my memory but I do wish I could turn it down from a 10 to a 5 at least sometimes!

Your comment about recall and needing to look at something -I am the same. I can’t just think and say the answer on the spot. It does not happen for me. I’m glad I’m not the only one🤣. I feel the exact same way about the Barbie movie! It was good, but I truly didn’t think it was amazing. Definitely visually pleasing and great actors, but I almost thought it was trying to hard to make a point of something but they didn’t quite achieve it?!
