I really appreciate you showing the dirty garage, lol. Social media makes me feel like everyone keeps their spaces perfectly spick and span all the time and that I’m not doing enough. I truly don’t have the time/mental capacity to do serious deep cleans every week! In reality, I think many of us have those big cleaning projects we put off for a while. Happy to know I’m not alone in that 😅 We’re all just doing our best out here, with the weight of the countless regular, nonnegotiable tasks we have to do every day!

Love that your ornaments are sentimental. My parents gave me an ornament and my dad passed away 2 months later. Now every time I place that one on the tree, I have a little cry and think of my dad.

You can power wash outdoor fabric to clean. I would store them inside for the winter though, forget about covers if you live in a winter climate I wouldn't worry about cleaning until the spring.

Love you showing us ornaments every year, I think collecting over the years and have special ones from family and trips you’ve been on are the best and will put a smile on your face every year! We do the same thing, last year we bought our first Christmas tree and got just a few ornaments felt special or reminded us of something. also our friend gave us a few with our names on it and now when we travel if we see a nice ornament we take it with us to add to the collection 😊

Wow. Loved the Dior box and advent used for Christmas ornaments. Brilliant ❤ so excited lanmas is here and can’t with for all the vids. I really hope that the car mat works. Please keep us updated. The tree is absolutely beautiful. I have ornaments from both sets of grandparents; my Nanny’s passed them down, my mother and now my own and it’s a wonderful tradition. It’s timeeeeeeee!!!! Happy Lanmas, Lan, Dejan and Meryl! So the thing about parents is, yes, they did the things that now we as adults look around after YEARS in our homes and think; huh, is that something I was supposed to do regularly? Seasonally? Annually? lol. The Garage clean up looks so fab! And your sweet joy twirling in the sunshine fresh air on your morning walk 🥺 On those very worst days, a walk outside really can fix all the things, even if the biggest struggle is to force ourselves outside in the first place. I love your tree! In our house we give each other an ornament as a gift every year and our tree is so fun! We can go back and see what we were fixated on (tv shows, music, etc) or where we traveled to that year. And then our son will have ornaments when he’s ready to move out. 😊

Seeing your garage was humanising - mine is always dirty too, it’s open to the elements and it’s just one of those things that make you feel like you ain’t got your life together! Love the lil chat bout the sentimental ornaments too. I am a theme Christmas girl, for me the creativity of doing something new with a tree each year is really enjoyable and I look forward to it and plan and collect different things in the lead up. I have a collection now of things I can swap between and it’s great and brings me a lot of joy - I often even end up lending bits and pieces to friends and families for their trees each. There’s so many videos on Instagram and TikTok at the moment really shitting on the theme tree people so I really appreciate that you didn’t do that❤ love the collected vibe too and I just think that there is space for everybody to get joy out of Christmas in the way that works for them

Your tree is so beautiful!!! We also have issues with our star SO a suggestion, hang a mini hook from the ceiling above the tree and use a clear thread (like fishing string) to hang your star and make it look like it dangles above the tree. Voilà!!❤
