I watched a documentary by a chap called Guy Ritchie. It discussed the challenges owners of such estates face. There was a brilliant solution. Theres some botsnists who will grow a medicinal herb underground and pay you rent. Its even subterranean so no neighbour complaints 😉 What an exciting adventure awaits you as the next generation. All the best.

A weekend long cycling/bike packing festival based around camping with lots of group rides around the Cotswolds. Turn it into a mini festival with camping on the grounds. Most could bring their own tents but you could provide nicer accomodation to those that want to pay more. Anyone else keen?

As I worked as a PM on turning containers into shops (mostly bakeries) I have a tipp for you. If you want to build more of those you should look into office containers. You get them used and they were build to accommodate people, not cheap Chinese goods. It is cheaper to turn a hybrid bike into a race bike than starting with a BMX.

I was watching Rivals and said, “That’s Poldark’s house!”. My wife corrected me and said, “No, that’s Hank’s house!” She doesn’t even watch GCN, but turns out she remembered that episode with your dad (when he joined you on an e-bike). Good luck to you both! Will be sure to check it out for myself one day. 👍

I find this very intriguing and (vicariously) excited for you. As a physical therapist (for my profession), I have a small family farm in Iowa that has been in our family since 1847 (not nearly as long as your manor… nor nearly as large… but…). Find it very cool you’re jumping in… something I have not been brave enough to do! 😂. Long-story-short… I am finding your journey inspiring and look forward to watching the process!

Awesome news-so happy for you and your fiancée! As a fan and regular GCN viewer, as well as a U.S. lawyer, I’d love to hear more about James's dad’s role in the mix and how his grandfather used a generation-skipping strategy to pass down the estate (if you're open to sharing). Whenever I come across a channel like this, I always think about the logistics you share and wonder about the behind-the-scenes nuts and bolts that really make it all happen.
