How to erase programed remote and how to program new remotes. If you have existing remotes that are programmed, than ignore the first step.

No .. just press the program button on the back of the opener once then press the button on the remote you want to program. The lights flash when the code is accepted

Wipe the memory as is in wipe all remote controls and/or key code numbers as well???

I only do that when I'm installing more than one opener in a 3 car garage and I want to program all 3 remotes to open any door 1 to 3

Nope. Press one time yellow button and then make sure your remote in sync mode. Most of the remotes have reset button on the back of it if you do not you have to press and hold button 1 and 2 until remote LED will turn solid
