I found the trick is to make the door so the rubber weather stripping at the bottoms barely touches the concrete. Then opener automatically allows the door to gracefully fall into place the last 2 in. Like a built in soft close feature. Use the arrow to slam in into its final resting spot will activate the safety feature when adjusting and ruin the adjustment process. Hope this helps!

Hmm..well the flashing light bulb is our indicator it's a sensor issue. Trace the sensor wires all the way back to the machine. Check to make sure the sensor wire isn't being pinched. We had a power outage and now one of my openers isn't working right. Do you know how to reset the opener so I can then re program the travel?
@garagedoorgenius5 жыл бұрын
Ouch, power outage. If it worked before that then you may have smoked the Logic board. There's no actual "reset". All you do is put it in program mode and then go through the steps. Hope that answered your question.

Richard I know it’s been some years but I have this same unit but my problem is my key pad stopped working so I bought a new one and it also isn’t communicating with the inside unit. Any ideas. I’ve went through all the reprogramming things but it still doesn’t work.
@garagedoorgenius3 жыл бұрын
Does your remotes work just fine? Those keypads are really easy to program. It's a matter of just pressing and releasing the learn button, enter a four digit pin, press enter twice. If it's not picking up It could be some signal from the house that's interfering or the receiver is having an issue.
@garagedoorgenius3 жыл бұрын
Also two make sure that the machine doesn't have LED light bulbs in it. A lot of LED light bulbs will put out interference.

Request back wages from Chamberlain for providing this valuable resource. Their manual is a bolloxed up mess to understand. I tried their 800#, but that explanation on programming wasn't any better. When we couldn't get the unit to respond to input, they suggested I need a logic board. After waiting a month and a half, I went back to Lowes., and they were great. I only had to exchange my motor unit with the bad logic board, with a new motor unit, took it home, and with your video to program, it's now up and running and working great. I apparently didn't have to set the force, b/c after setting the up and down travel, the light blinked 10 times, the unit went up and down by itself and then stopped. The wall button was blinking, I pushed it twice to syncro it, then watched your other video on programming remotes, and now everything works as it should. Contact Chamberlain and tell them you'll help them re-write the instructions.....................for a fee of course. Your instructions were to the point, and spot on and easy to follow and understand. I appreciate it. Thank you. By the way, my unit is a Chamberlain, model C2102.

Thank you so much my garage door and motor were replaced a few months ago and randomly I started getting error messages for different things such as excessive closing and opening force, sometimes cable tension failure because the garage refused to stay closed without the light blinking. It would go all the way down then immediately back up. I had to manually close it because I had no idea what the cause was and after just reprogramming the whole thing the this solved the issue. Last few saver 🙏🏻

After I set the down position the garage opener blinks five times and does one long beep and then doesn’t work any tips?
@garagedoorgenius7 ай бұрын
If the garage door makes contact with an obstruction while closing, the door will reverse, the opener will beep and the lights will flash 5 times. Does your door work good manually? It's not binding or dragging anywhere.

I am in need of help. I have the same opener as in this video. When it opens, the trolley slams because it's going too far. I set travel limits like you said and stop it about 2 inches from the end. It works perfectly for several open and close cycles. The next day it's back to slamming open. It seems like it forgets the travel limits set. I have a Chamberlain HomeLink bridge connected as well. Could this be causing the issue? Thanks in advance
@garagedoorgenius6 жыл бұрын
Home Link bridge is alright. It wouldn't cause that issue. I would call Chamberlain tech support, have the model # and serial # ready. If I was a betting man I'd lay my money down it's either a control module or Logic board.

I just installed my new opener like you have. I'm having issues with the garage door closing!! Instructions say, to make sure that nothing is blocking the reverse sensors, which "nothing" is. On the part where I say it has to get a feel for it? It comes up fine, stops where I have it programmed. Then when I press down it, it comes right back up? I had it working right off the bat, now it won't close, even when I programmed it right. The eye lens on the green one, sounds loose when I barley touch it, where the other doesn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

@garagedoorgenius4 жыл бұрын
Make sure the sensors are in line. If it reverses and clicks 10 times, then that's an indication the sensors are misaligned. Just reposition them on the vert track. B750 is an awesome machine. Super popular here in Austin TX 😎.

We've done these steps a few times. Works great for like 3 open/close cycles. After that it gets way out of sync, jams into the top bolt, then tries to go way too far down and comes back up automatically. We also have a Chamberlain model with a 10 ft door. Any ideas how to fix? Thanks.

Sounds like a possible control module or circuit board. How old is the machine? May be worth your time calling Chamberlain tech support. Have the model # and serial number ready. They can tell you if it's under warranty. If so, they'll ship you what you need. Hope this helps.
