Naku maam. Nag punta na pala kayo doon. Doon ko po nabili itong brush sa Art Nebula. Hindi po ito Escoda. Isabey travel brush po ito. Ito po ang favorite kong travel brush, pero di ko pa na try ung escoda. sobrang ganda rin po ng silver brush black velvet. Meron po akong size 10.un ang pinaka paborito ko sa lahat po. 😊

Cut out yan from Arches 185 na 30x22. Nasa 350 ata per piece. Check mo nlng sa ArtNebula. Jan ko nabili yan noon. Pero bumili nakon ng naka roll, 10 yards mas matipid konti. Hehe. Oo, malaking tulong ang magandang papel. Actually, mas mahal siya kaysa sa paints kasi ung paints, matipid eh. Ung papel, isang gamitan mo lang. 😊

@@EarlsArt yes, ok naman na rin basta any watercolor paper eh. Make sure lang na acid free siya para di manilaw at rumupok in time. Yan namang aspect na yan ang maaassure ko by experience sa arches, matibay at talagang acid free siya kaya sulit din lalo pag pangomisyon.

Hello. Kung itong Winsor & Newton Cotman ang ilalaban sa Holbein, siyempre sa Holbein tayo. Student grade lang ang Cotman eh. Pero kung Winsor & Newton Professional vs Holbein... Both are good. But for me, i prefer VanGogh as it's easier to activate and to use . Sa skin tone, same lang din naman sila. Depends nalang kasi sa technicque ng artist yun. But yeah, for me, VanGogh overall.

I have not tested the lightfastness of any of my paints eh.. But the pigment codes are provided naman by cotman and you can check the rating..youll have to trust that muna kubg wala ka pang lightfastness test na ginagawa..

I have the same exact cotman except that I bought it in Sekaido, Japan (a whole building with many floors of discounted art materials) it cost me almost 2k yen which is equal to not more than 1k peso!! Kinda shocked when you said it was 1.5k in Art Bar 😮

Sekaido is the Mecca of artists in Tokyo, lalo na yung nasa Shinjuku. 😊 Yes, items there are cheaper. I got there my Winsor&Newton Pro 14colors back in 2017 for less 2k Php. 😊 Back then, i didnt know yet what were the best brands so along with w&n, i got vangogh 15+3 and the daler rowney aquafine. 😊 Sekaido has huge discounts on top of the marked discounted price of their items. That store is half of the reasons i want to go back in Tokyo. Haha. Paints here are really more expensive. Yes, i suggested my sis to put the pans in the brush hilder since she's not gonna use the brush. 😊 🎨

Sonnet and VanGogh. Well VanGogh may be a bit more expensive but it's a step better. At the price of 12 cotman pans, you may be able to actually afford some pan sets of Artist grades like White Nights and Holbein (handpoured by individuals).

Nice one Sir Allan... Iniisip ko noon kung kakasya ba yung ibang half pans dun sa lalagyan ng water brush... So ngayon alam ko na hehehe... Isa ang Winsor & Newton sa pinakamatibay sa lightfastness marami ang nagsasabi..pero nagiging parang underdog sya ng mga kagaya ng Daniel Smith o Schmincke... Ironic nga lang mas nauna sya kalakaran ng artists materials sa buong mundo... Saka maganda sa kanya...ang aastig ng mga palette o box nya..pinag-isipan talaga.... Pero ang pinakakatawa eh... Siya yata ang ang may pinakamahal na per tube sa pro grae... 14ml yata nila at nagiistart sa Php800+ hahaha

Nung nagpalit sila ng mamufacturer nagkaroon ng reports from Western Artists na bumaba daw kalidad nung paints nila... Ngayon lang ata bumabawi nung UK based na ulit manufacturing... I remember na hirap ako magrewet nung cotman nung natry ko siya eh for that price pwede na ko bumili nung Sennelier aqua mini XD or Sakura na 24 (noon, ngayon nagmamahalan na lagat with the art-boom)

@@onemig00 may isa rin akong friend na napapangitan sa Cotman... Pero nung gamitin ko naman yung nabili ko ayos naman sya ...wala akong nakikitang problema... Baka yung nabili nya ay yung tinutukoy mo na manufacturer nila noon...

Hi guys.. Ung cotman niyo ba, saan gawa? Ito kasing sa ate ko, london brand pero made in China parin. Pero sa artbar namam namin binili. Kasama rin nito ung mga usual na cotman na blue amg box.. Ung inyo po ba, made in China rin? Kasi un din napansin ko, medyo mas mahirap irewet itong cotman..

@@AllanJayQuesada China na po ata talaga based yung Cotman pero balik yung Quality Control sa UK. Yung professional na lang po yung sa UK gawa. May isang YTber din na nagexamine nung bago at lumang wrapping nung cotman pans. Yung formula nila pareho pa din naman daw. Kaso magkaiba daw talaga formulation ng tube vs pans ng W&N.

Kung pans ang choices mo, i think mas ok ang Sonnet.. pero kung tubes, cgro cotman kasi mapipili mo ung colors. Wag mo lang ilalagay sa pans kasi matigas matuyo ang Cotman. ☺️

Hehehe. Thanks. They actually rewet fine especially when you spray minutes before painting.. it's just that other same level student paints like van gogh and sonnet do it quicker. ☺️
