I live in California I just wanted to say you make some of the most amazing artwork the way you shade your colors the way you build your colors how do you come up with color concepts are you paint with your Strokes are you come up with contrast your pictures are really amazing and the way you come your Concepts they're incredible it's just amazing that you do such really neat work in your samples those little sample artworks or just awesome it'd be really cool if you started a series that teaches people how to paint the way you paint how to come up with Concepts and how to come up with Strokes to create images that are believable and realistic to get that feeling of colors combinations to make them make artwork I'd really love to see you come up with a series that teaches you all the techniques to create really nice pieces of artwork it would be really interesting to learn shading and color concepts and mixing colors and how to get the results that you get I would love to learn how to paint like you do come up with an idea be fast and quick and have a picture come out the way you have one come out it's awesome your artwork is absolutely awesome and I want to paint like you and I wish I could learn what you know I wish I could learn all the concepts you have all the techniques that you know I wish you would come up with some sort of Series where you teach people all your wonderful techniques all your wonderful knowledge of how you create image images of artwork it would be so awesome teach all the things that you know about when it comes to doing watercolors and how to paint them The Strokes the colors mixing the the concepts that you have for making artwork would be great in a video series maybe you consider starting a video series so you can teach people and educate people on how to become really good watercolor artist because you are one of the best I've seen online when it comes to just making something out of nothing look like something that's just so realistic and believable and I just love it for all your samples your reviews possible artworks I want to learn how to do them God bless you and have a good day art saves lives

Hey! If you are interested in just the pastels I wanted to recommend to you the pastel set by White Nights. It’s maybe a bit more expensive but not much but the quality is a bit better. They’re the same semi moist type of watercolor in full size wide pans, and the colors are AWESOME. They’re gorgeous! Also Kuretake Gansai Tambi new art nouveau set has a lot of beautiful pastel colors that expand on the spring color classic pastel ones I got from White Nights, and they’re also the wide pan semi moist ones. For a more high quality tube set, Holbein sells a 12 tube pastel set that are lovelyyyy and affordable. I bought this meiliang set but I didn’t need it- I just wanted a travel set with pastels and a metallic gold and it was super cheap in a pretty tin. If you haven’t found a set yet I hope you look into the white nights ones and hope you find some pastel ones you love! ❤️

Honestly the colors look so fun, I definitely would love to get them as a gift even though I own professional watercolor brands. I'm used to the sound roosters and usually wouldn't notice them but yours sure were lively today 😂

Yes, really fun set to play with or to doodle with especially if you own other pro brands already. It took me later than usual to shoot. I usually finish before the roosters warm up. But now Im shooting till they're almost done with their routine. Haha.

Thanks for this Allan, I purchased the original set in the blue tin and was confused when I saw a paint called ‘Turkey Blue’ until I realised the correct interpretation should have been Peacock blue! It made me giggle every time I used the paints which I thought were excellent quality considering the very low cost .

I don't remember having seen a review for those on your channel. If you didn't yet, maybe you could do a review for them? That'd be awesome.

Thank you. If you don't own the previous Meiliang 36, and you want pastel colors, you can get this 52-color set. I always hear about the Meeden to other artists like Lindsay W. But sadly those arent available in the Philippines, yet. May someday..😉

Hi , they recently upgraded the 52 meiliang solid watercolor, they got rid of the 11 macrons and replaced those with deep richer colors.. still 52 colors but they rid of the pastels which is better.. im waiting for you to maybe have the review on it.

Sorry for mynlate reply, but if it still relevant.. my answer is.. it depends on what you work on. If you'll use it for crafty works and dont mind thick paint texture, then go for Kuretake. If you like vibrant paints and do not care about lightfastness, go for mungyo. Meiliang is your choice if you want affordable paints that are decent for its price. If you want lasting paintings, probably go for professional grades and select just few colors say 8 to 10 and select well the pigments that are lightfast and basic.

oh thank. i saw the name organic Vermilion and was worried for a sec, O_O the actual vermilion pigment is very Toxic. but the Pigment they use in this set for it is just a standard red pigment. it looks like a decent set. but not something i would buy myself. but it does seem like a set one could recommend someone new to watercolors. interesting one color has PB17 in it. that pigment is Discontinued. so it's hard to find.

Nothing to worry as the vermilion in this set uses PR4. Genuine vermilion is PR106. I agree, this set is better to be recommended to beginners or to those who will use this in sketchbooks..as many colors are not very lightfast. 😊

A GOOD quality watercolor you can test out is MAIRTINI yes there is a I in Martini. its equal to Daniel Smith but at half the price. Its made in China.
