And this is why I was so pissed when they didn’t give Laumape more attention! Nonu worked on his game over time not overnight. Same could’ve been done with Laumape but who knows? Maybe it could’ve been a different factor like attitude, off the field problems etc

Respectfully, I would argue Nonu stayed and had a better mindset and attitude. I remember he was on fire but had inconsistencies early on in his career. That, and he was up against Mauger, Umaga, McAlister. But to Ma'a's credit, he stayed and didn't go off-shore. I felt if Laumape stayed and rode out the wave, he perhaps could have been the next Ma'a!

Lol - it was eye liner - and i think it was a phase, for about a season 10 years ago - its been blow up a bit , but he and a few club mates were just doing it to show off, try and set style trends like football players, they also were trying different silly hair cuts, facial hair and boots - pretty normal for NZ, pretty normal for pacific - try it on, see if it looks good on tv 😛
