@@Jonkronn There is a video on the official WR KZbin channel that deals with forward passes, it has been up for over 12 years. For a pass to be forward, it has to be thrown forward and that's why they look at the hands. A ball is allowed to travel forward after it leaves the hands if the wind gets hold of it or through momentum. Just an example in the video... if you throw the ball over your head to the guy behind you while both running at speed, he will catch the ball further down the field than you threw it because your momentum will carry it forward. That is a legal pass.
