With the international calendar disrupted due to Covid-19 in 2020, North and South met for just the second time since 1995 in a fast paced match which brought one of the most spectacular finishes of the season.

@@mattnorris7124 Everyone wants it to be a 3-game series but let's be honest, this is not sustainable. After a long season, players are injury prone and the NvS matches are always very intense so you don't want to waste your best players before the Bledisloe and Rugby Championship. I think a tryout every four years as suggested by Schoneck Sho would be more realistic, plus its scarcity would make the fixture more exciting.

Wow, thanks for putting on this North VS South New Zealand Island super friendly competition. I grew up in Calcutta, India and played Rugby at my school, Armenian College. We had a Armenian Sports Club Rugby team too. There was the All-India Rugby Tournaments with 17 teams competing every year. We played against British teams with oddball names like Boffins, Griffins, Huns and this is during the time when the Brits were finally leaving India. And those days were such mad Rugby Fun. During heavy rain we were covered in mud and only the white's of our eyes showed...The team that would win the most was the Ceylon Rugby Team (and guess what they played Rugby with bare feet) and, from what I remember were super fast runners. (Ceylon is now called Shri=Lanka). The camaraderie with which these Maori guys showed was so hearty and friendly. After our Rugby matches we would put Shandy Beer into the cup and sip it, (Shandy was a curious mix of a Vimto, a 7-up like sparkling dropped into Beer to make it taste sweet-like). I live in the US and to watch an American Football game PAILS in comparison to a real sport like Rugger. The favorite team here in the US are the San Francisco 49-ers but now its all Rugby for me. After all, American Football was a take-off from Rugby, as American Baseball is a take-off from Cricket.

I think with J. Barrett and a healthy McKenzie covering the fullback spot, NZ has got to give the 10 jersey to B. Barrett. Richie Moronga is a liability on defense. France and SA both have big talented flyhalfs and can force NZ to have to use their flankers to help out . I know as a big flyhalf myself , that I would feast on somebody Morongas size and lack of tackling ability . They could play Moronga against England , Scotland etc but against the big boys , I hope they play Jarrett. Also as a big fan of NZ style rugby, lots of attacking , less kicking, I miss watching Barrett at flyhalf.

When I tell my non rugby friends what game to watch , for the last couple of years , it was always Ireland vs NZ , played in Soldiers Field in Chicago. Obviously this cant beat that atmosphere but this is the second game I will mention. I watched France vs Ireland before this and I dont think the Irish have more than two players that break into this line up and none of their backs are worthy of this game. How about a Covid friendly series, France against NZ ? Can the Rugby Gods make that happen ?

It requires colleges & highschools to spend equal amounts on boys & girls sports. There was an article in Sports Illustrated a few years ago, that argued that law is why the USA became such a women's soccer powerhouse. It wouldn't surprise me if we start dominating women's rugby in 30 years.
