Japan we’re brave to go for scrums and lineouts. It shows Owen Franks and victor matfields rugby experience has had a massive influence and impact to their game, but unfortunately school boy errors let them down

Japan player scrums and lineouts already were pretty solid during their League One season and their respective teams, its to early to say what impact Owen Franks can have, hes only been there 2 weeks lol

Was telling that the MABs had to switch to getting tries off rolling mauls. They are a get out of jail card in rugby under the current rules. Be nice to see them depowered as nearly all teams outside of tier 1 get done by this tactic and it results in flattering score lines.

The Maori team got together on Monday the 24th of June, flew to Japan on Wednesday 26th and played against the Japan team on Saturday the 29th of June. That’s five days preparation?

@korocam9137 It was japan XV not the japan team which is abit of an insult really hence the score,that's a hiding,could of been 40 at the end there,japan were very intense for awhile but just couldn't keep it up maoris capitalised off their mistakes could of been a different result if it was actual japan team

it's a dead sport! , not growing at all, Japan is possibly the only country (outside the big 5 or 6) thats sort of keep the game going internationally!

Just a recent Heineken cup game between Leinster and Northhampton saints had a crowd of over 80k people at croke park. Luckily numbers are a reality and your opinion is blatantly false and not supported by any facts :)

@@tuksvueti5255 agree and I believe the All Blacks with Maori heritage should have choice as to which team to play for if there is a clash of of timing when the All Blacks and Maori All Blacks play Maybe the MAB could have a two match series against the Springboks in South Africa, or perhaps in NZ with at least one game in Napier as the MAB lost by a point in 1921 (South Africa reporter send a racist telegram back to SA about this match) and drew in 1981 (Pakeha ref cheated them out of a win by awarding a Drop Kick that missed) since it has been over 40 years since the last match between them.

Nice game! It was incredible game but lost of the game. Japan fifteen was so fresh including university students who of course has super talented. They had good opportunities to improve their skills and mindset for the future. Thank you for good lessons and vibes from MAB! I was impressed from their Haka tonight. I wonder comments is positive compared to domestic channel. Thank you guys!

Well, the ref did the best he could Eddie lol. But seriously it was a good game And Maori A.B.s scored a good win but Japan gave them a good run for their money. Good tries scored by both teams although the first two tries were a bit scrappy.

People Eddie Jones Coaches this Japanese young squad punch above there weight and its great to see Japan are producing young & up & coming young players & with Japanese competition its having great in roads of international players going to play in Japan they getting international players supporting the competition to grow the game in Japan. Its a shame the NZMAB dont play more games at the same time as the NZAB are playing is there room to have 2 international teams playing at the same time put it out there !!!

I honestly think the Poms are going to beat us. The England/Japan game meant nothing. They have the potential to beat our forward pack up. How many of the ABs forwards are world class and dominant? Ardie Savea and who? We are seriously weak at lock right now. I hope I'm wrong!

@DrissZyani-bu5mo -...you obviously dont watch Northern rugby, we said the same thing about the 2017 Lions and The Ireland team in 2022 and we got hammered in the forwards in both series, also remember in the Ireland series they scored in all 3 tests within 3 mins of the kick off, we werent switched on..As a Kiwi it will be an exciting series as they beat Ireland recently in 6N,we should win but the England team have some excellent players also. Set us up well for the big games at end of year where we will possibly lose 2 out of 3 tests, England at twickenham, Ireland & France and we still have 2 tests against SA in SA, will be a good series but not a cakewalk as you think

Yeah, I'd probably put it below the super rugby teams. It's more like a development sqaud for super rugby. Give these guys 3 weeks together, which would be a 100-point difference.
