Japan XV played well in the heat. The Māori seemed to be a bit disorganized on defence. Too many silly penalties. Looks like the crowd enjoyed themselves, which is what really matters.

If there were any sort of 'debrief' made public on the tour, I could be more specific. I'll keep an eye out. It's not that I think the All Black brand is being cheapened by attaching 'All Black' to the team's name, but it should draw some accountability. And if Eddie wasn't the selector for the Japanese side, I might have paid less attention. If these games weren't used to pad resumes, it'd be easy to shrug it off. They are - I didn't. I'm delighted you disagree with me. Challenge everything involved with performance and the All Black name. And again - well done Japan and Eddie Jones.
