Was the same with my '96 fastback, old muffler was rusty and sounded like it was full of sand if shaken. Then I installed my new muffler and that deep, thoraty sound is just a gift from heaven. Funniest thing is that the car with muffler is louder than no muffler at all.

I got this same exhaust on my kid’s civic…only downside is I couldn’t add a rear bumper lip because of how flush it is to the bumper. But the exhaust is the best sounding one I’ve heard on a Honda.

Just put one on my CRX, don't know how I feel about it just yet(not a fan of loud exhausts personally). Very little rasp when cold(almost inaudible) but once its warm it sounds like a lot more than a d15. Stock idle. Build quality, welds and material are good. Fitment was spot on and install was easy. Would recommend over stock for like $60 more. I've owned the car for 8 years and usually replace everything with OEM parts so this is the first "mod".
