To those ripping them for a song with cleans, they are trying to diversify. It doesn't mean they are going that way every song. Same with the flamenco. Diversity and talent wins the day, not a band that does the same song over and over. I'm more than ready for this full album! I wonder if even Metal Blade realizes what talent they have here? The first Allegaeon song I heard was Grey Matter Mechanics on liquidmetalxm. If that's what they call the station any more, I've been out of the metal loop since I stopped playing in bands in 2010. I see comments on here of people bashing and defending the newer singer. I definitely went back and listened to all the other albums. I'd say the new guy has more range and I love the clean sections. That cover of Subdivisions was phenominal, always wanted to do a metal version of it, they did it perfectly. I think Pain of Salvation's "BE" is the last album I bought that gave me goosebumps until I heard Proponent for Sentience all the way through. Metalheads get all uppity when their band changes a little. It's still heavy as fuck, it's still technical as all hell and it's progressive metal at it's finest. Definitely one of my favorite bands now.

As always the boys have made a super high quality video, fantastic use of technology, lighting, wind machine (fan), and drop sheet. Master puppeteer as well as vokillist, too talented. With these talents you guys really need to make an 80's horror movie. It would look just like an original. I'm sure at least one of you would be ok with an axe or chainsaw. All class all the way. Brilliant, as usual! Only concern is that some of the lead sounds buried under that Opethy/Dimmuy wall of sound. Not the case on the Grey Matter Mechanics vid, so I hope this is a product of this particular video (i've listened to it on multiple platforms so please don't suggest that if anyone chooses to respond).
