Yes, a lot of us hate Kazuya. No, it’s not a Tekken hate. Kazuya just had a large detriment to stage choices and kills you off one armored move. Plus, his play style sort of degrades into a top tier Little Mac minus the bigger recovery moves. Tekken’s it’s own game, but it was poorly adapted into our sphere

Not a tekken player and so idk what he’s like in tekken. What I can say for sure is that smash kazuya is a beast and probably a little overturned. Character has some armoured/invul moves that all lead to death combos or massive damage, this forces situations where alot of characters just have to hard camp as the risk reward, for getting in usually isn’t in ur favour. This in turn creates leads to alot of slow gameplay and camping is the person fighting kazuya can’t afford to take many risk as that leads to death, hope this helps.

It doesn't have good online and it's been kinda in creative limbo from the devs themselves. Graphically and narratively every entry blurs together because there hasn't been enough of a shakeup either. Remember how people got hype for Ryu just growing a beard in a costume for 5 and being default in 6. Sure, we had kids in 5, but they were mostly clones.

People just flock to the newest online game. However the bigger games find ways to stay in the limelight for longer, example sparse their DLCs at a semi-decent pace, have a tournament with lots of money and so on. So to me it seems like an organizational problem or producer problem. Searching for some technical stuff about SC6, i found a very recent interview from mr.Harada, director of Tekken talking about Project Soul & Tekken Project. Mr. Harada blames it on the failure of the organizational policy of Namco (so my hunch was right), because the Tekken team also struggled with the same things. But because the Tekken team were sort of rebels and went against the suits, Tekken survived. However mr. Harada still thinks there is hope for Soul Calibur, and that is a very positive sign.

They understand ehat makes a shimmy and shimmy, a dp a dp, tech a tech. They understand it so well that they can see it happen in other games. I think its more about the recognition of legacy talents, of the FGC that makes them great Commentators.

Maybe just maybe the reason the FGC hates smash is because it's main game, Melee, is known to have some of the worst people in the fighting game community like Leffen. While having a reputation about them involving their smell and their like of certain kinds of people. Yet despite how much negativity there is, there will still be some people who go into those communities and still show how bad things are. Even the parent company doesn't want to get involved in the community unlike how any other fighting game will have no issue with that.
