I fished the allegheny for the first time last year and absolutely hammered them with a skirted ned. Ned rig catches numbers but they bigger ones ate a skirted ned.

I was curious if you were gonna fish that tournament. Me and my buddy were going to fish it but decided last minute just to fish for fun. We were getting them shallow little past the rapids (jet boat territory) on spinners and crank baits. We fished that tournament a few times. Those locals are tough to beat! We get the fish but not the weight. Good video

All of the Allegheny is full of smallmouth! It’s the best of the 3 rivers for numbers of fish
