Sam enlists in the army to prove the Kimuras’ loyalty, but Kei joins draft resisters fighting for the rights of their people.
Their paths take them from the lush farmlands of California to the wastelands of Wyoming to the battlefields of Europe, and their divided loyalties threaten to tear them apart forever. But as long-lost memories are unlocked, Sam finds that it is never too late to forgive and to recognize the redemptive power of love.

I saw on one of the cast interview for the opening night of Allegiance, the reporter told Michael: "It must not suck to have Lea Salonga sing to you on stage". Michael said smiling: "No..., I pinch myself everyday. It's not hard to fall in love with that woman on stage everyday, she makes it easy... she opens her mouth, and you just melt..." Waaa~ Michael!!! 😉 Even though they're exes now, I can't help but cheer for them! 🤗 I hope they get to work together more often... preferably as a couple~ Gosh I'm having a fan girl moment over these two! Hahha!! 😅

The musical was filmed. I don't know if it's available to stream online anywhere, but you can purchase the DVDs. FYI: I like the DVD because it also has a commentary track.
