I agree, it was interesting to see once they got on a tight lane they also had one on front bogie, but I do feel for the poor fella riding up the motorway

Are the wheels of the trailers driven by hydraulic motors or is it just the 2 tractor units moving the losd ?

@Bobtidbury from what I understand the front balladt truck does all the work, with the rear for additional braking and I guess pushing abilities. Thanks for viewing I'm sure some other viewers may be able to assist further.

The load is nowhere near 400tons, the trailer is rigged for a maximum of 297 tons which includes the weight of the trailer. The tractors will be around 40tons each giving a maximum possible gross combined weight of around 380tons.

all chambers corrode at some point but these guys will be well aware of any maintenance issues.

The heavy 8 wheel tractors with the large tyres on the 2nd axle were Ginafs that used a DAF cab.
