Lovely Bible, beautifully made. Such a blessing that this kind of thing is becoming more popular again.

Hello Jae from a fellow Aussie! Just this morning I ordered a longprimer 43 thinline in purple goatskin... can't wait for it to arrive! My first purchase from Allan was a wide margin Clarendon in 2018 which is absolutely stunning. I have looked at a few reviews today and was really chuffed to find yours! And I really appreciate what I saw in a comment you wrote to someone else, how reading the Bible is the main thing in your life. It is something I really need to work on myself, and what you wrote struck deep. Thank you for your videos!

Hello, thank you for your kind comments. Allen's make a superb bible indeed. Purple is going to be great! It's a bit of a wait from UK to Australia but that bible always arrives :-) Yeah, I read and study the word constantly for it is food fror my soul. These long, cold wet days have me inside so that's my main occupation, same in the middle of a sweltering summer. God's blessings to you, sister.

@@artistchristos Thank you so much! Making a more consistant effort to read my Bible everyday is something that has been on my mind the last week - I am a bit patchy on it generally, and there really isn't any good excuse for that. I just saw your video on writing the Bible too, I reckon that would be a great way to slow things right down, I read way too fast sometimes without thinking! Thanks for some inspiration and ideas, and may God continue to richly bless you! PS. If it is too wet where you are send some of it my way...we could sure use a bit of rain in central Qld!

All you need to do is begin. It's one day at a time :-) I have a garden and plant trees here in SA and I know that God grows them at His own pace and in His timing. It's the same with us. You are right about writing the bible....it's slow and you have to read each line in order to write it down, but that pace is very rewarding and is inimate time with God. My blue pen is the Pilot G-Teck-C 0.25 mm that I got a box of 12 from Draftex technical drawing supplies in NSW. When you read your bible, slow down and absorb one verse before reading the next. It's easy to read unconsciously so the word of God demands that we allow the Holy Spirit within to reveal what's before you. God bles you !

I just purchased one for sale, like new, from someone on Facebook. I had my heart set on the Silverline Plumb 62, but this looks even more classy! I have a 62 Tan and a 43 Red, and now this. They are exquisite, aren't they?
@artistchristos3 жыл бұрын
The Allen's are something quite apart from other premium bibles, I agree. Ah, the plum 62 silverline....beautiful. Tan sounds really nice....can't say I've seen it. The Petrol Blue...the name!....and those aqua shade of green ribbons with that soft shade of blue was irresistible, I'm afraid. said it was my last bible purchase. I failed :-/

Thank you for the review, I am going to buy this bible, this is going to be my first bible purchase ever. I’ve been using one given by my church for 10+years and I love the subtle ness of this bible and the blue green hues contrasting the silver pages abs blue, yup I’m sold
@artistchristos3 жыл бұрын
Cool! It is an awesome Bible, Bobby, which has the best typeface on the best opaque paper. You will love it. Did you look at the link below where I show it in outdoor light where you can really see the colour of the leather and ribbons even better?
@SuperBobbilicious3 жыл бұрын
@@artistchristos I’ll check it out right now, I love the subtle of the calfskin not a big fan of the grainier skins. I was originally interested in the schuler bible since it had ornamental drop caps which I love but green and blue color and silver with blue pages propelled me to grab it

You can't go worng with an Allen Bible. By the way if you get it from Bibles Direct in London, and not Evangelical Bible, you won't pay shipping and will save a fair bit on costs. They do fre global shipping which makes the Bible purchase more workable. If you buy from EB and pay full shipping you may get it that little bit sooner. I am in Australia so everything takes a while. Not sure what country you're in so I suggest do the math on either supplier for final cost. God bless!

i have the 53. is the readability that much better in the 62. i think my favorite text is the cambridge large print but the paper is just not close to the allan paper. i also have noticed that on the allan website they say the paper is 40 and not 38gsm. i am not sure if they changed since you got it. they had that on the 63 and then i checked the 62 and it said the same. it before was 38.
@artistchristos3 жыл бұрын
The readability of the 53 is perfect. The difference with the 62 is only slightly thicker paper but not by much..like maybe 2 grams, so no need to get a 63 because I compared opacity and they're almost the same. (Please see the entire product specs in the description box) Also, if you like Petrol Blue I have a link in the description below the video shoing the cover outside in daylight to get a better idea of what it really looks like. If you love the 53 I would suggest that is a great bible and stick with it. I got the 62 purely for the Petrol Blue on a whim, and it has a bit more space around the text on the page. The 62 is a bit heavier than the 53 so you'll want to bear that in mind. My 62 is still in the box, actually, because I can't justify using it and spoiling the gilding...I always mess up the gilding somehow :-/ and I use the 53 all the time! God bless! Btw, have you sen the Schuyler Canterbury in 11pt Milo font? That's my other favourite bible most used alongside the 53. Check out my video on it if you like....it's a wonderful bible, and as you may know I have only one eye I can read from :-)

@@artistchristos I DO LIKE THE 53 AND THE COST IS A LOT FOR THE 63. I DID WRITE THEM AND THEY SAID TO CHECK BACK SINCE THEY ARE OUT. ITS CERTAINLY NOT A NECESSITY TO GET IT. I AM LOOKING FOR THE BROWN GOATSKIN 63. EVENTUALLY THEY WILL COME BACK. THANKS FOR REPLYING

@@LegBuilder Agreed, the 62 is an expensive luxury and I'd say if it were our first Allen's Longprimer it would be lovely, but having the 53 is really all one needs. It was the Petrol Blue I saw on someone else's channel that got me interested, and eventually I will use it.

Still enjoying your 62 longprimer in petrol blue? How has it held up?
@artistchristos13 күн бұрын
Actually I sold it because I could not justify having this luxury bible when I had the Longprimer 53 which I love and am reading at the moment. The 62 was very beautiful but I did not use it more than maybe twice, so went to an appreciative owner 😀📖✝️

Very nice bible, do you write and highlight in your bibles?
@artistchristos3 жыл бұрын
Hello, no, I do not write in my premium Bibles, but do have three less expensive journalling ones, the hard cover Journal the Word type, with each one dedicated to1/ writing the Bible, 2/ colouring, and 3/highlighting and note taking. Thanks for watching and for your interest, God bless!
