Hi Shane You are the best, and I like coming back to your KZbin channel for help sometimes you are a bit fast for me but always good information. You have help me in the past so I'm back. Okay I just lost a Kinetix 6000 2094- BM-02 15A at 3am 😢 What I have in stock 2094-BM-01 6A. How do I configure this.? Can will this work? Thanks for your help. The Engineering department will be here in the morning 8:00 and they will fix it, but will not say anything to us night time electrician so you are my knowledge base. Thanks for your help always. To do that change, all you need to do is to be offline then change the model type then re-connect the module to the Axis it was connected to before. Very simple. Also, limit the torque so it does run over it's rating

This felt like a speed run video.. Didn't relay learn much here
@ShaneWelcher2 жыл бұрын
It's fast because I made a very detailed version earlier last year and someone talked smack about it not being 10 minutes. So I made it a point to prove it could be done in that time limit. If you need a slower learning resource, use the search tab on this channel and type in the keyword "Servo" It will pull up all my servo videos. Also help you save time on learning to easily find what you need

I would like to learn more about configuring an index position on a k300 drive. In our application, we can edit the index through the motion configuration software, but we are communicating with ethernet, and sending commands to move to position X or whatever. what I would like to do is change what that position is on a screen for alignment reasons in say a linear servo situation. I am searching for info, but it's not easy to find....
@ShaneWelcher4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, not to many people use the K300. I have a few of them, maybe I can do some videos on them when time allows

Hello, I have a Kinetix 6000 set and I want to use it with an interface that sends pulses and direction. I'm trying with an HSC high speed input module but I can't get the right program. Is it possible to do this? thank you
@ShaneWelcher Жыл бұрын
If you have a Kinetix 6000 then why are you using a high speed counter card? Are you adding an encoder or something?

@@ShaneWelcher I have an interface that controls servos by pulse and direction. I want to adapt the Kinetix 6000 for that application
@fernandomatiasn Жыл бұрын
I am testing by entering pulses from an incremental encoder and the programming objective would be for the servo to go to the absolute position (counter value) as the encoder moves. It would be something like a loop where an absolute MAM instruction positions the servo to the counter value
@ShaneWelcher Жыл бұрын

Hello, I have a question. I have seen in the company where I work that different models of Allen Bradley PLCs are installed in machines. For example, there is a machine that uses a Micrologic 1400 to control 2 servo drives Oriental Motors. In this case the PLC uses an analog signal to control the speed of the servo motor. But the PLC that you use in this video don-t use analog signal to control speed and many other parameters. You control the servo motor with instructions like MAH, MAM, MAS, etc. I want to make my own servo training kit, but I am not sure if a MicroLogix 1400 would let me control a servo motor a you do with all these instructions. I appreciate all comments.
@ShaneWelcher3 жыл бұрын
MicroLogix uses a different software version, it uses RSLogix 500 not RSLogix 5000 or Studio 5000. With that being said, the MicroLogix processor is not tag based so it requires output signals such as analog module. RSlogix 5000 & Studio 5000 which I teach in this video is a tag based system which is a much greater software than RSlogix 500. RSLogix 5000 & Studio 5000 use communication cards for servo controls. So with you asking about this, the MicroLogix processor is a less useful type than an RSLogix 5000 or Studio 5000 type. Hope that better helps explain

Hey,, I can't even communicate to an AB ultra 3000. It was installled before I started this job and I can't get it to connect to my PC to set parameters. I'm using a USB to rs232 I made a cable using pin out, 2,3,5. Please any help is appriciated.
@ShaneWelcher3 жыл бұрын
For an ultra 3000, you need a serial cable & a null modem. Then setup a serial driver in RSlinx with the proper baud rate & it will communicate
@freaky_jsn_killr13643 жыл бұрын
appreciated. PC is USB only, I have a USB to serial. So I need the null modem cable then? Thank you for a very prompt response 🤜👍. New sub now..lol

@@freaky_jsn_killr1364 Yes, USB to serial cable...set the port used for the USB to serial baud rate to match as well. Use device manager to verify port. Use that port for the RSLinx driver as well

Hi, Facing frequently error E-10 and E-75 in my kinetix 6000 system. How to eliminate this?
@ShaneWelcher3 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a regeneration of power from the mechanical set-up. Stopping to quickly or any type of regeneration of power. Most of the time, we add a braking resistance bank or chopping module
@grakeshrao23193 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Mr.Shane, Adding to this there is an abnormal behaviour in rotation of the motor, The rotational speed gets increases automatically( more than set speed) Can we do anything apart from braking resistance bank.

@@caleb7799 Take average ? Don't you mean take advantage? I put a lot of effort into helping people & answering questions, especially on KZbin so if someone doesn't like the way I teach, please note that KZbin is full of people that teach PLC logic. Not near as in-depth however . Also, feel free to miss out on all of the future videos I am releasing in 2023 about servos. Not sure why people are heavy critics these days, it's a free video...i wish I had a place to turn to when I learned plc controls. Seriously, there was no KZbin 20 years ago, much less an easy way to search for answers. I think we should all be a little but more appreciative of anyone in the industry trying to help teach others. Whether we agree with them or not, we should at least appreciate their efforts.
