Be happier to have a " restored by Bedo's Leatherworks" embossed on the soles, far more exclusive!

I think this is a brilliant idea

I agree, I'd rather have a restored pair with Bedo's stamped on them...! Original Authentic..!

Absolutely, maybe with the you tube video link bellow?
@jaykohl41122 жыл бұрын
Are you allowed to rebrand a shoe like that? Maybe have a separate embossing under the brand name that says "Restored by Bedo's Leatherworks"?
@Jbickley005 жыл бұрын
I think people wanting to see more detail and more of your process is a compliment. Not only are you a masterful craftsman, you are skilled at explaining what is going on so people understand the process, and learn a hell of a lot about how shoes are made. Perhaps the most important thing you can do for your profession is change the expectations of the customer. Even going to a local cobbler, a person watching these videos would better know how to talk about what work will be done, and have a better expectation of what it should cost. In the past I have struggled to explain to the local cobblers that I care less about the turn around time and price than I do about the quality of the work. Anyway these videos are great stuff.

So neat to see those trashed Allen Edmonds literally come back to life. One lucky customer, how many shoemakers would tell you they're just beyond repair as they really looked like it!
@goodcat46444 жыл бұрын
I liked the Video, and learned something. Next time I go to my local cobbler I'll be able to communicate better with him. Thank you, and the video's Clarity is good.

After a long and boring day at work it’s great to slouch on the sofa with my feet up, cup of tea in my hand and watch your latest upload. You should have your own TV show!

But it is already his own 'TV' show. Literally. His one. If he was on TV it wouldn't be his show any longer but the show of others. Investors. Broadcasting company owners. CEOs. Executives. Barf! ... This would ruin everything.

Come on guys,we all if fans of steves work? How about we get so many likes that he believes what we all know- it would be brilliant to have a " restored by Bedo's leatherworks" stamp embossed on the sole of shoes expertly restored by Steve?
@Ladybug-uf7uh5 жыл бұрын
Yes, the video is much sharper and clearer. The upgrade is noticeable and it is much easy to see when you say "see this here?" (I usually shake my head yes and go umhm). The job you did on these mens shoes is, as usual, spectacular. Thank You for posting the lesson on shoe repair of Allen Edmond really worn shoes. You know, Steve, if you were needing work, you won't need work now that you've gone international with your email address... you are a great.

I marshal at a local golf course and one of our regulars is Louie who is the son of the founder of Bennie's Shoes here in Atlanta. His father came to the United States in the early 1900s from the island of Rhodes and started a shoe repair business which became by far the largest in Atlanta.. Louie's son now runs it.They sell some shoes though the on-line channel has taken most of that business. Louie says that they do sell a lot of shoes to NBA players. If you need a size 21 dress shoe, Bennie's is your store!!

You are insanely skilled. I love watching people who have passion for their craft. I do hand beadwork and I have about 10 of each tool because I can never find them once I set them down. It is better now that my oldest son has left home. He builds robots. My precision tools would come up missing all the time along with my expensive ass glue and adhesives. I don’t think people realize how much skill/dexterity/practice it takes to become the best and you sir are def. the best! My hands also shake from coffee but I can still thread a needle and I won’t ever stop drinking coffee. It’s my go go juice!! I think awesome adults with crazy skills should offer adult camps where we can come learn stuff summer camp style!!
