iverson also had a great team with him. On the 76ers in 2001 when he made the finals he had a DPOY and a Sixth Man of the Year. Later in his Career he had Prime Melo, Prime Billups, and more solid guys.

Allen iverson was a better scorer. Ppl knock him for his efficiency but when your 5'11 (not 6 feet) and the primary scoring option you get double team most of the time plus he played in a more physical era. Y'all forgot he basically beat shaq and Kobe by himself in game 1 and embarrassed Kobe, he damned neared did it agin in game 3. A.I was a killer even Kobe admitted that A.I was a monster and 1 of the best competitors he's ever faced. Wade career wasnt as longevity as Kobe a Iverson. Besides his 06 performance, 2009 season gething knocked out the first round, and three stars join together make 4 straight finals appearances and was trashed the next season after they left. Wade is a great player HOF and hands down one of the best two guard to play the game but highly overrated on his rank. And Iverson is just better and talented all around.

Your categories are completely irrelevant physical gifts cannot determine how good a player is and you cannot measure offense as a whole you need to divide it up into two to three different categories plus you don't even look at the players qualities off the court and how he impacts his team and what about the intangible stuff or how about dominance and iq those things are very valuable for NBA players these are the categories there should have been: Awards and accolades, defense, playmaking, scoring, dominance, win shares, efficiency, iq, intangibles like clutch leadership likability in the locker room

Wade is better but jeez can we look past just stats. AI never played for a good team like Wade did. Both were legends but DWade had more weapons in his arsenal total and had more physicality. The achievements and accolades have to be taken with a grain of salt. There's only one title given per year so lots of players won't have championships at the end of the day.

I would go w/ Dwyane Wade. AI scored more but did so at a lower FG% and more shots. During his prime (his first 12 seasons), Iverson shot 42.6% from the field on 22.6 FGA. Wade's entire first tenure in Miami on the other hand, yielded 48.8% on 17.6 shots per game. In other words, I believe Wade would have just as high a PPG average than Iverson w/ a higher FG% (although a bit lower than 48.8%) if he took 5 shots per game like Iverson did. Wade was also a greater rebounder and before LeBron, averaged 6.6 APG to Iverson's 6.3 APG (again, only taking into consideration Iverson's first 12 seasons) so their passing is virtually even. Given that Iverson averaged 4 more MPG than Wade did in his first 7 years before LeBron, I'd give the edge to Wade. They also averaged the same amount of TOs if we're comparing Philadelphia and Denver AI to pre-LeBron Wade although I'd give the edge to AI in this case bc he played more minutes and took more shots. In terms of defense, Dwyane Wade made 3 All Defensive Teams while Iverson made 0. Iverson does have 1 MVP however but regardless, I have Wade > AI.

Iverson is so tiny, dude is listed at 6'0 but some people say that he's shorter. A friend of mine is 5'11 and he said that when he saw Iverson in the flash he felt that AI was a tiny little bit shorter than him. Can't say who's better, but Iverson has insane talent to play as SG being so tiny. He wasn't really efficient, but he always played on awful teams, being in the NBA finals with Eric Snow, George Lynch, Tyrone Hill and an old Dikembe Mutombo, being the MVP of that season and preventing the 00/01 insane Lakers team from going undefeated in the playoffs is something that we might call legendary. BTW, D-Wade is almost 6'5 and has almost 6'11 wingspan, that helps A LOT on shotblocking and defense. C'mon, he HAS to be a lot better than AI on defense.

Physical gifts: It's much easier to play wuth 6'5 than 6'0. And AI dominated the game with much a smaller body. personally, I feel Iverson did so much with what was given but I have to agree that DWade wins it here. Some stats you didnt mention are that Wade went to 10 straight playoffs and 12 in 13 years, also has 100 more playoff games then A.I. Wade also was a stat sheet stuffer averaging 22pts 5 ast 5 reb 1 blk and 1.5 stls while shooting 47% from the field pretty impressive numbers. The only thing you gotta give AI is how he did what he did undersized and with a worse team around him, he averaged 40 min or more 13 times and lead the league in mins played 7 times, DWade never had to average more than 38 mins.

I think you should have taken speed and vertical into account with physical gifts. Being big doesn't mean anything, just look at Dirk. U gonna say kg is better because he's heavier? Also I think AI would be Dwade 1v1. And let's also not forget that if AI had super stars on his team like fucking lebron James and Chris bosh he'd have won some rings. I kind of agree but the winning is hard to do if you are the only star on your team. Wade has always had another star on his team with his championships, but how many finals has Wade gotten to all by himself? If Iverson had lets just say Kobe, then maybe then he could've been higher on the list. I believe the being smaller and still averaging all the points and assists as he did was way more impressive than a bigger stronger player. So what Wade was 60 lbs bigger than AI. Iverson would not come second to Wade if he had a better team. Last I remember they had a record of 15-67 after Shaq left he Heat. So if Iverson had another all-star player then we wouldn't be talking about him like this.

Iverson has no ring because he got like no help. All his teamates were trash. AND in the 2007-08 season, Iverson averaged 26 ppg and 8 apg. The only reason he did not make the all-NBA teams in because David Stern hates him

Basketball is a team sport but most nights when A I was on the floor if you’re actually watching the games even in losses Iverson would clearly be the best player on the floor. There are so many reasons why when it comes to Wade but we forget that Iverson never had a Shaq or Lebron and that alone is why he has 3 rings. Also, their physical gifts are unfair because thats not AIs fault. If anything he should get the nod because pound for pound he played like he was Wades size. I agree Wade is the clear cut winner here. One more aspect that should've been included in this match up I think is work ethic dedication. No disrespect to Iverson as incredible as he was, lacked in these two crucial ingredients for success. Wade is notorious for his work ethic and dedication to winning at all costs. And Iverson on the other hand is notorious for missing practices on a consistent basis. Wade was always willing to sacrifice his body for the sake of winning a game. And not that Iverson was afraid of contact, he was just never as willing to throw himself in harms way quite like Wade always has. Dwyane Wade has three championships and ridiculously impressive career statistics as well as permanent damage to his knees and other body parts, all of these things the good and the bad are a direct result of his reckless style of play and winning being priority #1 at all times. Iversons lack of those things are a direct result of a lack of commitment. Iverson is definitely a legend in his own right, but Wade is a legendary true champion.

I agree that Wade is the better overall player. I'm not sure that the categories you all used are the best though. I think Iverson should have won the first category strictly because Wade has the physical gifts & Iverson did not yet he somehow had the career that he did. The last category I like but to me is iffy in just this one case because Wade won off of rings. Iverson never really had help. The one time he went to the finals he carried that team there seemingly single handedly but Wade had the most dominant player in our lifetime in Shaq & a guy by the name of Lebron James for two more. The fact that AI was not as tall and as strong as wade should be counted as a disadvantage, it was clearly much harder for AI to score this many points and that is the reason that he cannot play very good defense. Furthermore, AI was one of the most electrifying players the NBA has ever seen and that should be remarked as another factor to determine who is better.
