Blew us all out the back door at a small venue in San Diego last month, The Music Box in Little Italy (SD): Allen's soul savant voice, his band is fine, very fine, and I noted that his guitar playing and stage presence get better and better--because he plays, a lot, and, no doubt, loooves to play and sing.
