How to repair your Viessmann Vitodens 050 Low Water Pressure fault

Hi Allen, thank you very much for this video. I returned from work this evening and I saw my boiler was not working. The pressure was 0 and it displayed error code F2. I followed your guidance on this video and I was able to increase the pressure to 1 and reset my Viessman 050 W Boiler. Miraculously, it is working now. Thank you once again. I have subscribed to your channel and liked this video.

Hi Allen, your video was a life saver, well, certainly a pocket saver. I just moved into a flat with that model boiler and after two days the water heated then stopped after a couple of seconds. I haven't started that tentative process of finding a decent plumber yet and found your video. It took me a while to locate the braided hose (well concealed by Wren) and repressurised the boiler! Now it works! I bled the radiators and then repressurised again and everything now works and is relatively quiet! Still going to find a good plumber for future needs but this video saved me some time and money which are in short supply as you might imagine. Thanks!

Lifesaver! Bled the radiators and noticed they all stayed cold after. Crawling round the loft at 11.30 Trying to make sense of the user Manual. This was so much more straight forward and so easy to follow! Had it fixed in a few seconds 🎉👍

Same boiler was making a sloshing noise when hot tap turned on but no fault code. Noticed that pressure was at zero so followed your tutorial and noise has gone. It’s summer so no heating on yet. Will try rads next. Thanks for the video. Will book a service like a grown up!

Hi Allen You can also put the viessmann 050 in a filling venting mode That operates for 30 minutes , it’s really helpful and makes the radiators easier to bleed

At 1:51, you close both the valves back off. Doesn't one of the valves need to remain open all the time? As hot water is used, surely it needs to be reintroduced into the system. Or have I got my wires crossed on this? Thanks!

My boiler just blew the heating flow hose Plumber replaced it and it’s gone again within a day. Clearly he doesn’t have a clue. Any suggestions Would it be the expansion vessel or the pressure sensor ?

Mine is 3 years old been serviced just before Xmas, continually topping it up multiple times a day after using the hot water or central heating, checked trv’s for leaks can’t find any! Pressure drops from 1.5 bar to 0 overnight! Any thoughts?

Hi Allen, Many thanks for the video (already thrown it a like). I have a Viessmann Vitodens 050 and the pressure gauge is getting close to 0. I've located the braided hose (the filling loop; ie the second tap you turn on) but not the first tap. Do all Vitodens 050 have these two taps?

FYI, I phoned the Viessmann Technical department ([phone]). They were very helpful and told me to just turn on the Filling Loop as described in this video... and... it has increased the pressure! So if you only can locate one tap, I'd advise you give it a shot. This could not have been done without you! Thanks so so much Allen Hart! You are an absolute legend!! Many many thanks :D

Hi Alan. I have found my flexible hose but there are no taps on the ends. There are screws on either end, might these be the equivalent? Do I need to undo these instead of the taps?

Trying to solve a recurring fault, F2 - every day - which shuts down the system and I have to do a reset. Also hot water is not constant, when it operates at all. Could this be a low water pressure (not boiler pressure) issue?
