Thanks for good explanation of one pipe system. I always thought direction of water flow should be where the valves and termostats are but as it look flow direction is from end of radiator to front and where termostat is, thanks because it is very important to know.

Justvwondered if I could pick your brain on an issue ,have bosch combi boiler and both radiators and underfloor ,my underfloor only comes on when radiators are on .the thermostat for underfloor shows a flame icon and all the bits to do with underfloor system seems correct but boiler does not fire up is the most likely issue a dead valve switch it looks pretty old and seems floppy when you move the switch,I pushed it into the manual slot but nothing happens .

Would this be the same as the modern tanks? I'm looking at one with two coils - wanting it as I have a wood stove I'll be heating the water up but will eventually want to add a heat pump with the stove supplementing during harsh winters. Additionally, we have radiators and want to install UFH - is it possible to run them off the same coil?

Thank you! Just took off the first of nine radiators. Bought a pipe wrench to undo the nuts as the regular adjustable spanner kept losing the grip. Still loads cheaper than a plumber ;-)

Hi Alan I have a Worcester 35CDi greenstar 47 311 94 when the hot water tap is turned on it goes straight to lock or over heating it only does this on the hot water circuit it’s had a new hot water heater exchanger the diverter valve opens on hot water it’s had a new main board the boiler is fine if the pump is wired constantly running all the time does the pump work for hot water or just heating if it’s put back to factory settings and I turn on the hot water tap it climbs to a hundred degrees in a few seconds loads of engineers have been around just throwing parts at it with no fix

The problem with these pumps is that they will get to be stuck more than that method can cope with, not sure why they used a recessed screw that can be easily rounded off if really stuck. Multiple people after a summer spend time taking the 4 allen bolts out and freeing the impellor by hand or mole grips or ACME dynamite depending on how stuck Should be a warning sticker on them to run every month

Does it matter what the resistance value is? You see 10k thermistor, versus 1k thermistors

Saw something about this a while back, but no detail. Is there a full length vid? I'm guessing it's some sort of mild abrasive media in the flushing water? Many thanks

This is an excellent video, it's great to see an entire system installed in a simple way with the main components all there. I think you are a great communicator, but I love labelling so that there's some food for the eyes as well.

Installer new boiler came tobyest it ok he said Didn't work properly then cane back still fofntbeork properly then the manbeorking for him forbsvdhort time came and said valve problem. Shouldn't the installer know this. Now he's coming round again to fix a 3 port valve but shouldn't he have known a needed this valve when he installed the boiler. He's charging me extra 290 pounds plus vat

If it was stuck, would this cause the pump stop and lose power after starting up?
@zakelwe5 күн бұрын
No, it stops, puts an orange and red light on the front, as per the manual and makes a clicking noise as it fails to spin it.
