Thank for that, great video! One question, silly one I believe... but: "with flow and return valves turned off, leave it if possible overnight"... with boiler being OFF right? Or not? You didn't really said should we turned it off or let it "run" even though it cannot push water in any direction.

We didn’t use a mash hammer, normal claw hammer and hold the chisel in your hand, a bit of practice and you’ll be grand

I happened to stumble across this vid whilst doing some research. . The chappy in video forced his 2mm probe into a connector '15:01' which has max opening of 1.6mm, This can in some instances expand the metal contacts causing further problems. Also measuring resistance in circuit (wire harness connected to pcb)is not accurate as you may have a parallel path. Otherwise a helpful video for gas industry technicians !

this is a good fix but you eventually risk damaging your pressure relief valve... while operating it manually it might not close again properly and that is howyour PRV starts leaking repetitively when the boiler is active

Every time I worked on older buildings and removed something and saw wood used as a plug iv, I thought that some cowboy did the work. Well, now I know. I never even thought that would have been the normal.
