Very good advice about it being overwhelming. The first time I went I thought everything was overpriced and didn't find much that I wanted. Then, post-pandemic, i was able to go through and find the bargains and treasures, and make some new friends - and it's been that way ever since. Mrs. PaperGoy's last shot of the table of books showed several that found their way home with me!

Oh wow, that's very cool! Yes, I had the same experience- I basically bought from only a couple of dealers the first time as I didn't know who would deal and didn't know the lay of the land. Spent a lot of time looking at dealers who were higher priced than I would like. Now I give them a cursory glance and move to the next table.

What frustrates me as a buyer AND a seller is when I go to shows like that and they are only open for 5 or 6 hours. I would much rather have 8 hours to pick through things when I'm buying, and 8 hours a day when I'm selling. Particularly when I'm selling, since not all potential buyers are morning people.

Went to the flea market in Ohio (Hartville- haul video up on it- end shameless plug). Officially it opened at 8 as I recall (though with most fleas, it's kind of nebulous as people just wander around as soon as dealers arrive). At 11, vendors were already shutting down. (I do remember going to one show- oh it was the bottle show in Rochester- that strictly prohibited dealers from shutting down early)
