Take a walk with me around the alleys of Navotas Metro Manila Philippines. I explore some areas of San Roque and Tangos South in Navotas Metro Manila. Not only are the alleys pretty tight, but the actual roads can be really narrow as well if you have a car. Cebu is actually pretty ok. Tondo, Navotas and other skethcy areas in Metro Manila with huge poverty rates tho.. Let's just say a guy from New Zealand died just last month while here in the Philippines.

ang laki ng issue ng environmental problems ng navotas,especially near the coastal areas,whats the LGU of this city doing???kukuyakuyakoy sa aircon nilang opisina???bakit di nila maresolba ang basura sa kanilang coastal lane???at sana magkaroon ng information drive na ipunin at itapon sa tamang tapunan,meron nman sigurong collector ng basura na nkaschedule ang dating???at sana magpasa ang LGu ng rules na di pwedeng bahayan ang coastal areas,in order na di mabasura at madalahura ang tubig sa dagat,do something na marelocate lahat ng nasa coastal ,collaborate with the housing authority para umayos ang kalagayan ng mga illegal settlers sa bahaging yan.....

Bending over to pick up trash and trying to keep the waterways clean at your front door is not a sign of being poor......laziness seems to come to mind. I was stationed at Clark in Angeles back in the 70s and never did I see people live like this in that area. :)

if 50% of the people in this district went to work on that filthy coastine and burned and buried that trash it would restore some pride,,,, Manila compared to Bangkok or even Phnom Penh are like night and day comparisons. Call me critical but shoveling money is obviously not the solution.....spend that money on dump trucks and Waste incineration plants !

These are no different from the alley ways of favelas in Mexico and S. American cities. Mostly passageways to slum areas maintained by politicians for the votes they get from people living within during elections.
