How are you this good at making videos when its such a small channel? You seem like a really experienced KZbinr I mean to say, is this a secondary channel or are you a first time poster with this channel being your main? If you don't mind me asking that is, just curious. Great content, I'm always looking for ideas for my 18 month old boy 💙 keep up the good work 🥰

Thank you so much. This is my one and only channel. I think when you are motivated and inspired by the content on your channel then that definitely projects on the screen. I am definitely NOT a professional You Tuber but I’ve done what I can to learn and improve the quality of my videos as I move forward. There are always ways to improve. But thank you for the compliment and I’m so happy that you enjoy the content ❤️

Can you make a video about keeping your kids from just throwing everything. I have a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a 3 month old and my kids will just throw everything everywhere before I can even show them an activity. I’m just starting out with Montessori so a video like that would help me so much

I understand what you are going through. When you are first starting Montessori with children who are a little bit older it is tough to make that transition. What I would suggest is to declutter some toys if you happen to have a lot of toys around. Secondly, if your children are being rough with the materials I would first tell them that certain toys or activities are NOT meant for throwing. You can then divert them to things that they CAN throw, such as a ball. Or if they have a lot of energy then I would have them play outside where they can be more active. If you have activities for when they are outdoors then they can play with those. If they still don’t understand, then I would remove the toys/activity and say, “it looks like you’re NOT quite ready for this toy/activity, we can try again later, or we can try again another day.” They will start to understand that it’s NOT fun to have toys removed and will begin to be kinder to the materials. Respect of their environment is a really important concept in Montessori. Transitioning children to Montessori will take some time, and patience. But consistency is key. Also, make sure that you have a place for ALL of the toys. So they know exactly where they’re supposed to go. I will definitely make a video soon on this concept to give more tips and suggestions. But I hope that helps for now. ❤️ Hang in there.

@@allhart This works! My two year old is definitely in the trajectory schema and was throwing his legos all over the living room. I brought out some pit balls and told him to throw soft things, and not hard things. Now I only have to remind him once or twice per day, instead of all day long.

Anna, my son is very hands on, so I've learned to let him play with new materials before we do any activities with them. Otherwise he will ignore everything I say and just beg for the item.

I have been trying this and I think it could work but sometimes it gets so out of hand with three under four that I have a hard time keeping up. For example, my son will put his hands in his pants and put poop everywhere (he’s almost completely potty trained btw) then while I clean that they will empty every toy (which isn’t much) out and start throwing blocks, while we tidy that they will get into something else like water from the fridge and empty it on the floor and jump in it. It is exhausting and I try to focus on one issue at a time but sometimes I don’t have time or they simply don’t listen or care
