The Alliance Aircraft Corp of Alliance, Ohio was formed in 1928 and the firm designed the A-1 Argo as a sturdy (was the first aircraft able to perform an outside loop), two-seat open-cockpit biplane for operation by private pilot owners. The Warrior seven-cylinder engine was designed and produced in the same factory at Alliance.
Because of the difficult economic climate then existing, only 20 A-1 Argos were completed. Alliance Aircraft then went into bankruptcy in 1930, being reformed briefly as the Warrior Aeronautical Corporation before that organization also foundered later the same year.
Several Argo biplanes continued in operation by private owners until curtailment of civil flying in the USA in 1941. Two aircraft survived in mid-2009
Scratch build project using with scrap materials. Plastic tubing sprinklers extension, drinking straws and discarded pen parts were used to simulate 7 cylinder radial engine. The wheels are made out of wood and rubber. Own plans.
La Alliance Aircraft Corp de Alliance en Ohio, se formó en 1928 y la firma diseñó el A-1 Argo como un robusto biplano (fue el primero en performar el rizo invertido), de cabina abierta de dos asientos para la operación de propietarios privados. El motor Warrior de siete cilindros fue diseñado y producido en la misma fábrica de Alliance.
Debido a la difícil situación económica que existía entonces, sólo se completaron 20 Argos A-1. Alliance Aircraft luego entró en bancarrota en 1930, siendo reformada brevemente como Warrior Aeronautical Corporation antes de que esa organización también quebrara el mismo año.
Varios biplanos Argo continuaron en operación por propietarios privados hasta la reducción de los vuelos civiles en los Estados Unidos en 1941. Para mediados del 2009 han sobrevivido dos de estos biplanos.

Which materials do you use for Wings and fuselage?

I use appliances packaging foam. The reinforcements are fiberglass tubes (broken fishing rods) and some pine. Everything covered with paper and white glue lowered at 60-40 Thank you Tobias for your interest

Wow, this is awesome.!! you are a very lucky guy to own the only Argo in flying conditions... and even more, being able to fly this historical piece of aviation !!!
