If Ally flipped, I could see it happening with someone higher up that has experience questioning people. Her emotional manipulation wouldn't be able to sway them like it did at the trial. As soon as hard questions came, she used her own "victimization" to pull the questioning away from that. A good interrogator/interviewer wouldn't fall for it.
