The Florida Keys is our happy place so we love bringing you adventures from this stunning destination right in our backyard. One of our favorite spots to visit is Robbies in Islamorada. This place is a gem where you can lunch on the water, feed massive tarpon and buy island chachkies. Robbies is also home to Sundance Watersports offering classic Keys activities like SNORKELING, PARASAILING, SUNSET CRUISES, SNUBA™, AND PRIVATE CHARTERS. 🐊😂🐊😂 Right, according to Wikipedia, Alligator Reef is named for the USS Alligator, a ship assigned to suppress the trade of slaves coming from the African coast in the 1820s. In November 1822, the Alligator was escorting a convoy of merchant ships when she ran aground on the shallow reef. Therefore, not scary at all and an excellent place for families to snorkel as it's quite shallow.
