Great presentation and looking forward to the book when its finished! As someone who dabbles in all the things mentioned here (recreationally) I love the analysis of the mind of people who do this type of stuff for a living.

Anyone who is hating in the comments obviously has never played poker professionally.. he gets this topic 100% correct here! He’s not talking about your average Joe who loses his life savings on roulette. He’s talking about professional players who are contrarian to the average Joe. Meaning it’s rare that people actually think like this, but when they do they are often successful.

Successful people realize they must constantly re-assess and re-align themselves. This is not once in a blue moon but a constant re-evaluation of one’s performance. That was amazing. So when we fall, it’s all good. Assess, re-align and move forward, again.

Interesting seeing Sacks and Friedberg sitting next to each other - like Nitro and Glycerin. Probably not. :) Silver compared Trumps winning chances to an NFL kicker making a 45 yard field goal. I will never forget that.

Betting on politics is one of the most profitable gambles you can ever make. I used Silver’s models to put down hundreds of thousands of dollars on the last election. Ironically, the best bets I made were vs the idiots that thought Trump would be reelected…this was after the election was already over between mid November up until inauguration day in January.

A lot of these presenters have an arrogance about their intellect that seems pervasive in the tech/vc space. They often present common sense well understood topics in a disassociative way speaking with inflections and pauses as if saying "good gamblers calculate odds" is somehow profound and enlightening. There is something so pretentiously disgusting about the arrogance that it makes it almost impossible to listen to these presenters dribble off some half beaten solutions to complex problems. For every ounce of interesting thought you get a pound of useless shit.

It's a good analyst, things are changing and we have to be smart how we follow what happens next. The market is going to change and we might experience a bullish moment soon but to get to the all time high we will have to wait. now is the time to in alt coin growing on the market. I get signals from a reliable source and these youtubers tell you things to ease your mind. I work with Howard and I have never been so happy learning from someone like I have learnt from him.
