What makes this one of the best episodes was towards the end when there was the discussion around bundling. We saw some real debate which we haven't seen in awhile. I really love when Friedberg gets fired up and passionate and there's real discussions that make you think. He's so smart and I always think the better episodes are when Friedberg is passionate enough about the subjects to fight - he is a great smart logical thinker that I resonate with a lot. By the way, loved Chamath's opening on putting a positive spin to Biden - that is the type of unifying, healing attitude this country needs.

I kind of interpret many post on here as acknowledging that we're reaching a market peak, in general, which is a well-supported thesis, and so if you've been sitting back chill while the gains roll in because bull market, well, time for traders to stay sharp, many are expecting volatility, probably a sharp downturn, smart traders should check their risk management is in shape, time to pay attention. The timing of his post vs what I know about the market supports that well enough. But yeah, the post could mean anything.....managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Kelvin Hurdle, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

As someone with an elderly parent who suffers from dementia, the post debate footage was really distressing to watch. Jill praising Joe like he's a 4 year old who finished his vegetables, and Joe just standing there, exhausted, with a confused smile on his face. It all reminded me of my parent and legitimately made me want to cry.

I’ve worked in a dementia/Alzheimer unit & he reminds me of some of my past patients. Specifically a college professor in early stages. I think this is why they requested no live audience. A debate with a live audience would be a difficult environment for a person with dementia.

James Baker as Chief of Staff - dude was running the show. Don Regan too, before Baker took over. Howard Baker stepped in later. George Shultz at State was huge. And don't forget Nancy - she had Ron's ear big time. Colin Powell as National Security Advisor was key too. These guys were the ones actually calling shots and keeping things moving while Ron was... well, you know. Not exactly at the top of his game anymore. Biden is now in that place but Jill no Nancy

Which Trump has every intention of shutting down and distributing that money back to the states so they can take on Education programs by state. This makes education a competition between states, which will have some winners and some losers, but overall an improvement over what is done at a national level.

The biden team set the demands for the debate. I do believe the moderators did not insert themselves into the debate, that I am glad for. I think the muting while the opponent is speaking probably made Trump look more civil/subdued than he actually is.

That’s the difference between a Biden voter and a Trump voter. It’s always emotional arguments from Biden voters as to why they can’t vote for Trump, but look at where that is getting us? A guy with flat-out dementia. Try criticizing Biden and you’ll get censored (which has happened) and canceled, god forbid you’re a leftie, your own kind will eat you alive while preaching “we love all people” Trump? You can talk shit about the man and still praise him without fear he’ll destroy you. And I have yet to find a grass root story about Biden unless the paid ads that are easily biased and not true by their administration. For a president to have No wars, a controlled border and a thriving economy where the average joes dollar can buy a whole lot more then what is compared to now? Then yes while Trump may not appear good, he was a hell of a lot better. Literally the debate to sum it up in two: Democrats: We’re gonna tax the rich and spend all the tax payers dollars!! Republicans: look at this guy, he’s gonna spend all of our money, we’re going to continue to cut! And in this current state, we need to cut. The climate policies are bullshit, they’re just a money and tax grab and the politics don’t truly give a fuck about climate change and an EXCUSE to tax us more. Taxing the rich is just generic bullshit trigger language, love or hate them, if they as in big business get profit, they invest in the US, more business left the US under Biden or closed down (myself included) because labor is cheaper if I do it myself as of this moment. The entire 13th and walnut street in Philadelphia and business’ in center city, are closing like hell because democrats want to tax the shit out of the citizens in which those taxes go where? Right back to the federal govt to which they spend it MORE on bullshit. Just like this Biden administration paying high transgender executives to fly first class or private jets to go around federal agencies to spew their “inclusivity speeches” you wouldn’t get that for one second under Trump because the persecution of the LGBT people is of the past, and todays LGBT people want to be victims. I’ve never seen gays attacks gays, but it’s happening now, but this is also what the democrats have done, litterally indoctrinate people to be victims and think their vote is going to save them. and to top it off: the republicans have been right so far on multiple issues that have been PROVEN to be right. And just how power hungry the democrats are. Covid came out of a lab, there was gain of function. The vaccines aren’t safe because more and more people are experiencing heart and back problems (MYSELF included) they locked us down, the mainstream media continues to shove that the shot was perfect and able. WHILE silencing credible HEALTH professionals and ignoring their arguments. Turns out if you are young and healthy you shouldn’t have gotten shit. Biden’s laptop story and the corrupt DOJ with actual email chains collaborating with social media giants. Gas and higher cost of living rising thanks to Biden’s policies and weak international trade Wars under Biden, which Trump said was going to happen. And guess what? It is. 10 billion just dranken away to Ukraine in which they are actually suppressing their other opposing party as of May 20th 2024, in which they should have had a general election. Mind you Biden and his people are for democracy right? So yeah, fuck Biden, Trump 2024. He has a fucking mouth, but if that’s going to stop you from voting for him. I took on the job of caring for my elderly parents. They lived to be 98 and 100. My brother and I had to take Dad's keys away. He was about 94 and and kept "losing" the car. We told him we lost the keys. Over time he asked if we'd found the keys less and less. My mother at 97, after Dad died, still had beauty, wit and sharpness--sometimes. It was amazing to see her rise to the occasion in a social situation. But I saw her every day, and I saw her descend into confusion and despair and then back out again numerous times each day. The point is that the orchestrated public appearance is not the whole picture, by any means.

I've worked 4 decades in Geriatrics. The denial of family members has always been the hardest to address. It's very hard for loved ones to accept the decline that's obvious to everyone else, especially when the patient has always been the "pillar" of the family. The other tough ones are those that are driven by guilt. Jill is either in denial or dealing with the guilt of covering for her husband and desperate to preserve his legacy.
