I’ve got an lly that when you press the gas it’ll but feels like it’s slipping after a couple “pulls” barely above average take off compared to any normal driver, also will start surging or feel like someone pushing your seat over and over in a movie theatre.... it’ll also only rev up to 2k- 2300 rpm but won’t pull or shift till I let off and really ease on to it

Hey Richie, do you know if the TCM commands the defuel for a shift? I've got a weird downsurge in rail pressure, desired and actual, when I'm holding a gear in manual mode with my 13 LML during a pull up a hill. Runs awesome otherwise, just has that surging.

It looks like u know a lot about Duramax’s. I have a question is it possible to do a full complete cab swap from a 14 duramax to an 08 so basically using the 08 motor and powertrain.

My mechanic told me the green belts cause static which kills the tcm so to not use the green belts

So...now you have peaked my interest. If we look at this from an analytical perspective, the green belt is nothing more than a specific blend of EPDM rubber basically formulated to endure additional heat and wear exposure(not being too specific on the chemical composition). The dielectric capacity of the rubber shouldn't change or be negatively impacted in any way? Nor should it posses any additional properties where it can generate or pass more electrical current than the generic "black" formulation. All of the other years prior and following this A50 application still mount the unit in the same location but have nearly 0 failure rates in comparison. Just my $.02

Thank you sir! I appreciate that comment. I'm very interested to find out more info on this green belt theory. I domt recall having the green belt on any of the other failures. I know the last 2 this month were black belts and my red LML has the black belt as well (that failed 2xs in 9 years)

@@Aaronelliott847 Hmm, very interesting! My TCM I believe was acting up tonight where I was getting erratic transmission issues like lurching, and felt like I was starting off in the wrong gear from a dead stop. I DO have the extended life green ACD belt on my truck... Any updated news on this?

Hello. I have a 2011 3500 with over 85,000 miles. I keep having the shift inhibited select neutral message. It is so frustrating. I’m not entirely sure if this happened at one point. We have also had multiple issues with it randomly not wanting to start, doesn’t even crank it’s like instead. And then you move the shifter multiple times turn the key like a maniac multiple times and you’ll just get lucky and it will fire up..

@@bennysr5220 so it was at a few shops, no one could figure it out, it went to two Chevy dealers spent around five grand total and shop fees and labor plus tow trucks. For the last few months, maybe about five months now the body control module below, the passenger door along the chassis, we discovered on our own that the clips were failing and it wasn’t having a strong connection. So we put a $8 ratchet strap to it and carefully tightened it. The trucks been running great ever since and hasn’t had an issues! Starts daily and works everyday! Amazing how simple a problem can be! Goodluck brother!
