In New Orleans almost everybody has at least one costume closet, and we break them out for just about any reason. A ways back I saw a woman walking down the street at noon on a Wednesday dressed as a purple octopus. My fist two thoughts- that’s a fantastic costume! And -I want to go where she’s going. Anywhere else in the world they would assume she was having a breakdown, then wonder if they should help her.
