Beautiful video! I still have the Blush Horizon 2012 and the Sunkiss Ribbon from 2015, the stripes go all the way down and are not an overspray, they're still perfect and apply beautifully and I use them year round. I wish Chanel would do more unique blush compacts like in days of yore. The longevity and quality were unparalleled.

WOW! This was a great video watch.. reminisced. I had the Bleu Celeste eyeshadow quad and used every shade until the last grain! I used so much of the Blanc de Chanel. It came in a heavy square bottle. Personally, I loved and still love the Spring 2012 collection. I also used up the quad from that collection and still have the April nailpolish as well as some of the singles eyeshadows. At the time, every collection was a WOW and even the marketing was well thought of. Unfortunately, I have lost interest around 2016-2017. Any collection after 2017 has not 'wowed' me yet and I am still waiting for something interesting to pop out. Smaller collections were in fact much better. Thank you for this great video! 😊😊

Love your look today gorgeous as always! I loved how Chanel back in the day would surprise with different color’s different tones. Now a days it’s lots of red and very random do they deviate to different colors and shades to really surprise as. I agree with you that the collections would be iconic if they gave us one really great item and not a lot lot they tend to do now and yet they are nice but in my humble opinion nothing truly special. Hi Ally! Why were the makeup releases so much more beautiful , in the past, from this brand!?? That deep cobalt blue nail polish was STUNNING! I don’t like blue eyeshadow on me, but I would have worn that cobalt blue nail polish.. and that multi colored blush!!! “Stop it!” That was so gorgeous ❤❤🤩 you look so glowy and rejuvenated from your vacation!!

I used that 2017 Code compact down to the pan. I swirled it and applied it all over like bronzer. It gave me the most natural suntan; because I’m fair, so it gave me a hint of a sunburn look. Holy grail, and I’m so sad it’s gone. I miss those old collections! Great video!

I still have my 2012 compacts. They are great! Really enjoyable. It's peach and plumb eye. The blush is a cool blue- pink. I also had a glossimer called pin up that I adored.

Trick I have learned during my time as a beauty advisor: anytime you have a compact with different colour blocks (ex: that 2006 blush you showed, or the Guerlain Terracotta Light bronzers) and you want to bring back the colours that were lost after swirling your brush in it, just tap the compact with a kleenex a few times 😁 It'll look brand new! (Just tap, don't rub or anything, it works every time!)

Awesome video! So nostalgic and fun to watch without feeling like I have to rush to add to cart and whip out my wallet. My first Chanel item was a lip gloss someone gave me from their decluttered makeup stash in around 2004. It was a gold shimmery gloss and it wasn’t my favorite as I was only around 22 then and was in to attention-grabbing shiny glosses and MAC style sexy makeup. I didn’t start purchasing Chanel until around 2014 or so when I picked up three Illusion D’ombre cream shadows (or whatever they were called back then) but they dried quickly into little nuggets.

Wonderful video! We have a lot of favorites in common. I personally *loved* the Spring 2010 collection - that highlighter/bronzer was divine and Kaska Beige was a go-to e/s palette. And LA Sunrise - forgot about how much I loved that ribbon blush. I didn't get the CC rubiks cube either - FOMO!! Also, wish they would bring back those rectangular eye shadow singles!!

My favourite Spring Chanel collection was from around the millennium. The eyeshadow palette had a pastel pink, pastel blue, hole yellow and a slate grey. I wore them as single shadows, a wash of colour or the gold looked amazing in the inner corner. The lipstick from the collection was Pink Veil, a pastel pink with a white base that made it pop.

I had that coco code 4 color palette and I had some fun with it❣️I think. I grew out of it + after not using with lockdowns, I finally got rid of it, but it was such a nice one! Can use just solo colors or blend some or all color together with big brush!!

Hey Allison! Hope you are having a great day! I remember having the aurora blues spring collection. It was so pretty. I still have the blue satin nail polish and had just put it on this week lol! This collection also had a blush called enchantress I think. It was a mid-tone brownish rose. There were also a few lipsticks in rose tones. my favourite was enigma ( a medium brownish rose). There was a highlighting blush called luna. It was a white pearl colour. The powder was really nice too( poudre crystalle) And yes the gloss was a holographic shimmering gloss. the blue celeste eye shadow palette was so pretty, I remember the pigments to be very rich, especially the darkest blue was gorgeous. Oh Allie, you’re looking lovely! I just purchased the Codes Elegants palette - it’s permanent collection, n’est-ce pas? It’s not a bad everyday palette for me, or even a holiday look; I prefer it to the No 5 LE, which is basically toppers. One of my fave releases was that Codes blush, which I missed out on. I went to Paris in Spring 2018 and asked someone at the counter for it. The SA told me that swirling it gives the same effect as the In Love blush - which I bought for that reason!

Hi Alli, Although I have been using Chanel foundation, powder, lipstick for over 20 years, I started buying limited edition only from 2012. But look how small the collections were back in those days. Now every collection has 10-16 pieces. If they are less than 10 products we feel like Meh!

The 2010 and 2017 collections gave me serious FOMO. I’ve seen a video from Erin Nicole TV on what she just picked up from the boutique for this year’s collection, and it’s stunning on her. But I still feel just okay about it? I’m trying to be more discerning with my makeup purchases in 2023 instead of buying and letting things sit around without ever seeing the light of day.
