As a 18 year old lifelong fan of the Allman Brothers, this gives me so much hope that the music will be carried into the new generation and keep it alive for years to come. They sure have my support and I'm ready to see where they go

Best new band out there and not just because they're keeping the Brothers music alive

IN MY OPINION,CARRYING ON THE ALLMAN BROTHERS MUSIC COULD NOT HAPPENED IN A BETTER WAY THAN WITH THIS BAND,THE ALLMAN BETTS BAND PERFORMING THE SONGS.

I saw them at the Paramount in Huntington Long Island 2 nights ago (04, April 2019)..we expected that we would "like" the show...turned out to be fantastic ..I am talking about one of the best concerts I have ever attended.....their guitar playing is setting a new standard for greatness....any way, they played this....they just blew the crowd away....hope they stay together for a long time and that they achieve the popularity of their fathers,,,Deveon did announce from the stage that they had just signed a record deal

I love that Berry Oakley junior got involved. He is playing his dads bass just like him. I really am missing Jaimoe's vibe though. His style worked so well with Butch. It's hard to hear this without them there.

Sould be " The Oakley Allman Betts Band" Yeah!
@sldl044 жыл бұрын
Agreed but I'm just glad that these guys are continuing with the music. I thought that I had heard the last of the ABB back in 2014 when they retired unless it came from an album.

The brothers would be proud. The boys are on there way. Great things to come if they keep focused, I am sure!!!

This is really good. I saw the Brothers back in the 70s and this has that feel. Solid songs and strong musicianship. Rock on!
@sldl044 жыл бұрын
They sound almost identical to the ABB...amazing.

That's Berry Oakley Jr. on bass...he's playing the "Tractor" for Christ's sake...or the replica the Fender Custom Shop made him...it's like a damn reincarnation!!!

Pretty sure it's the original, the family still owns the bass

They really need a dedicated percussionist in this band,to allow the second drummer full time behind the kit (and turn it to face the audience).
@ulbruce5 жыл бұрын
Who's the 3rd guitarist? The guy playing slide?
@natewinkler53905 жыл бұрын
Bruce Silverman the slide player is Johnny Stachela. Was with Duane Betts’ band before they merged into this. He’s the man and a super nice dude.
@smitty315605 жыл бұрын
@@natewinkler5390 They need to fire his ass and get Derek Trucks. The Oakley, Trucks, Allman, Betts band featuring Jamoe.
@ZapBrannigan1215 жыл бұрын
@@smitty31560 It would be epic to see Derek sit in with them for sure, but Johnny Stachela is a monster player in his own right, and really fits in here.
@greenman76125 жыл бұрын
Johnny is a better slide guitarist than Derek. Derek has his own thing with his wife. Let it be.
@robhaunui33435 жыл бұрын
@@greenman7612 Really ? It would appear you haven't been around long enough,,as Derek is in a league of his own,and Johnny as good as he is,can't compare to Derek when it comes to slide guitar.Don't get me wrong,I think Johnny will mature into one of the best in no time,but his style of playing,even down to the SG guitar,is too much in the same vein to Derek.Would love to see both of them on stage duelling it out on this song...but Derek would have the edge.

It brings me no pleasure to say this is an uninspired and uninteresting rendition of a masterpiece.
@andrewburton59625 жыл бұрын
Tight band but really need to do something with the vocals. I’m a huge fan of the Brothers and no harm but Devon’s voice is to choppy and forced. He almost sounds robotic.
@RickBaconsAdventures5 жыл бұрын
it works for some stuff but his voice is just different than his dads

No one will ever sound like Gregg Allman not even his son. It is what it is.
