Also, fun fact: Katy Perry lost her virginity in a 1995 Volvo (see her behind the scenes of making the "Part of Me" music video). She didn't wait until God's "blessing" and marriage before she had sex, and it certainly wasn't with you. Until you can provide ANY sort of evidence that you were married to Katy Perry, let alone even knew her at some point, then I won't believe you. Perhaps you should seek some professional help if you wholeheartedly believe that the two of you were married.

Katy's voice has changed so much since this. She used to sing with a more deep and throaty tone that had an almost Alanis Morrisette-style affectation. She's softened it so much over the years to fit a dance-pop sound. Less-distinct but more polished.

I think that Katy and Kelly both sang their versions of this song pretty well. Who am I to decide who is the better singer by ONE song? After all, I really like a lot of the music that comes from both artists! This clearly means that I can't judge who sings this better! A judge needs to be more biased and tilted towards one point of view. I don't fit that description when it comes to this!

Katy actually helped write a lot of songs for Kelly Clarkson, if she wrote this before her career had truly launched, she probably wrote it for the purpose of selling it (very common for artists to do). I like both versions a lot. :)

@rue005 Well, people aren't 100% sure if this is the studio version or not but I'm pretty sure it is. It's usually referred to as an "unnamed fan remix" but what doesn't make sense about that is if a fan made a remix using the demo version, the quality would decrease, not increase. Also, this one is set up exactly like Kelly Clarkson's version. And I believe I downloaded it from mp3skull(dot)com. Just search "katy perry long shot remix"
