I purchased the great hall from lego.com. I've seen it a Walmart. I didn't time myself but probably 6 to 7 hours. I always enjoy building no matter the set.

The best starter set has gotta be Whomping Willow, I got myself one for the convenient price of 55€. It is a very nice set, which has an exclusive figure only to the set which is Mr. Filch, oh and also Seamus. It’s a nice set and it has a lot of nice details. I recommend this.
