Seo Taiji and Boys is the original group that all K-pop flows from. That’s not an exaggeration. His music is a mix of styles and is very political and calls out all kinds of social issues. He had BTS perform a bunch of songs with him at his 25th anniversary concert and passed the torch to them, pretty much saying they were his successor. The performances are amazing and definitely worth checking out.

This song was originally made to encourage kids who had runaway from home to go home. You really should watch the Seo Taiji 25 year anniversary concert, the 8 or 9 songs BTS performed with him. There’s a behind the scenes of preparing for that concert too and BTS was so nervous because Seo Taiji is a LEGEND. They had to learn to dance differently in an old school style. He showed them mad respect too.i think he’s the same age as JK’s dad. He was in his late 40’s for this concert and he didn’t look any older than BTS! 5:04 Everyone on that crowd and the entire country knows Seo Taiji and Boys, they’re THE legends of the entire kpop industry because everything started with them. Seo Taiji himself invited BTS to their 25th anniversary celebration concert and they performed a couple of songs. At the end Seo Taiji recognized BTS as his successors and passed the torch to them, saying BTS is the only group who deserves to be called their successors. Then he finished his speech by saying “Now is your era, show it”. They performed a couple of songs together (like 7-8) and the entire country went crazy.

During the concert, in front of 35,000 fans, Taiji passed them the theoretical torch and proclaimed them his successor stating, “This is your generation now”…. Yes, BTS performed "Come Back Home" with Seo Taiji at his 25th anniversary concert in Seoul Olympic Stadium in September 2017. BTS was the first act to remake a Seo Taiji song as part of his Time: Traveler project. They performed the song alongside Seo, and also served as backup vocalists and dancers for eight other songs at the concert

Back in 2017 Seo Taiji had 25th anniversary concert featuring BTS. They performed "Come back home" and many more Seo Taiji and boys songs together. It was sooo good. You should check that out!

Wikipedia has a good article on the original song released in 1995 by Seo Taiji and Boys. They wrote it in response to the huge number of high school and middle school runaways in the 1990's in South Korea. Lots of societal factors. And the percentage of girls running away was higher than boys.

Seo Taiji and the Boys is the father of KPop because the industry practically grew popular abroad during his era and the most popular band was ST and the Boys. Come Back is a song of ST. BTS first performed their version of this Seo Taiji's song in his come back concert in 2017 after 20 years from disbandment of the group. In this show, there was a part where the legendary Seo Taiji was turning over the flag of KPop to BTS. The Concert was entitled The Time Traveller.

I believe that's Seo Taiji's concert. I think he's like a music god in Korea, supper respected, and he invited BTS to this anniversary(??) concert. After him they stopped censoring K-Pop songs. When you do, listen carefully to the pronunciation of his name. He's in his 50s now. This cute guy was a metal singer.
