Crazy your talking about watering and it look cold and wet. I have always said my hats go off to people with allotments because the dedication to weeding and watering is a huge challenge. We are very lucky I garden in my yard and we have not only water access but our council council has no bans on veg garden watering. Have a super week haven’t seen Robbie lately hope he’s well and getting to the garden again, Alison 🌦️🇨🇦

It was a bit wet on Sunday morning there but the temp here seem to have gone up quite a bit over the past week. Hoping the magical 10c overnight it going to stick for a while so I can start to get some of the more tender things out. Robbie's doing great thanks. He's not so keen on the allotment these days but I still drag him along from time to time and make him get involved 🌱🌱🌱

Our council has added an exemption for allotments and domestic veg gardens where watering by hand wouldn't be feasible, so we're okay here for the veggies, but I feel for those gardeners whose beautiful gardens are struggling. Thanks for sharing the hose success. xx

Hey Mark when it says that the hose is retractable it doesn't mean you let it go off by itself, you have to keep hold of it and walk it back in, or else you end up with a broken inside and a kink in the pipe. Great Video though. Barry (the Wirral)

I think you might need to consider buying an IBC tank, one of those big white tanks in a cage.

How long to empty a water butt, I empty two big ones to keep my greenhouse watered in the summer when there isn't any rain?

I'm not sure how long it will take just yet I'm afraid Valerie. That was my first time testing it out on Sunday. I need to move the waterbutt from where it is a the mo so need to empty it. Will keep track of how much I use over the next week or so and update after that 👍
